Fruit Paradise have one of the nicest tart so far that I have had. I decided to order their nutty caramel and strawberry tiramisu. Their nutty caramel still tasted better in my opinion. The tarts are really tasty and topped with lotsa fresh fruits and cream. I ever try before their seasonal fruit tart. It was equally good. We ordered the fresh fruit lychee tea to go along. The food however didn't really impress me. My friend ordered the clam spaghetti which I ordered the Omu rice set. Both wasn't that good. I guess it is a place more for desserts rather than main course. Service wasn't so good, I guess it was cause they were short-handed.

MK restaurant is in Singapore!!! Smile Jul 03, 2013

I think MK is finally here in Singapore. This is a chain restaurant from Thailand. MK restaurant is pretty well-known in Bangkok and it serves authentic Thai Food with some Chinese cuisines such as Dim Sums, Duck meat, Thai Steamboat and many more. Since it is new here, it was a must try. I headed down with a group of friends and we ordered a Tom Yum Soup steamboat, a mix vegetable platter consisting of tofu, carrot, corn, lettuce, mushroom and other vegetables. In addition, a mix platter of meats with ducks, crispy pork and char siew.

We also ordered a mix platter which consists of some meat, prawns, squids and others. The Tom Yum soup is really tasty and flavourful. I drank 4 bowls of it. MK uses their own brand of soya sauce and chilli sauce, their own concoction and secret recipe known by two persons only. The chili sauce is very much Thai Chilli Sauce different from our own local chili sauce.

I ordered the warm lime juice and I really liked it as well. It was those kind of freshly squeeze which makes it really refreshing to drink. One thing that I noticed was also the generous amount of portion given and I must really applaud the politeness of their staff. Although they are a little shorthanded but they are very polite and friendly. Enjoyed every bit of it and will definitely return.

It was my first time at Sunset Grill and Bar. It is situated at Jalan Kayu, the famous place for prata. Well, heard from my friends about this place and we wanted to try the ever famous spicy chicken wings so here we are. We ordered some food for sharing, a large garden green salad, some mussels, fish and chips, lasagna and the chicken wings. Salad and lasagna was not bad but I really love the mussels, especially the sauce. I even dipped the fries with the sauce, I think is some white wine creamy spice sauce, not really sure what it is but it sure was good. We ordered drinks such as milk and lime juice to be prepared. After discussing the group came into a consensus of ordering the level 35 chicken wings. That’s the spiciest level. We ordered a dozen and each took one chicken wing each. It was the spiciest thing I have ever eaten. The spiciness lingered around in the mouth for a good 10 minutes and I felt that I was on flames and my ears were oozing out smoke. I don’t think I ever ate this kind of chili before locally. However, the challenge was fun, service was good too, I felt that they were a bit short handed due to the crowd but the only waiter guy was really patient and attentive. You will receive a certificate after and this place is definitely good to come with a bunch of friends to chill.

Value For Money Western Meal Smile Jun 24, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre | Steaks and Grills

My friend introduced me this western food at West coast hawker, also known as Paris Western Grill. Apparently, they have lots of variety and choices from spaghetti to chicken chop, lamb chop and steak. There are a whole lot more of variety actually but I decided to order the mix grill which I thought was really worth it. The set was around 7 bucks if I remember it correctly but it was super worth it as it consisted of a sunny side up egg, a slice of pork chop, a slice of chicken chop, a sausage, a slice of lamb and two side dishes of some french fries and tomato red beans. I had a fulfilling meal. Was really full when I finished it. I am definitely sure meat eaters will surely love it!

Shami Banana Briyani Rice Smile Jun 24, 2013

Categories : Indian | Food Court

Heard a lot about Shami Banana Rice but have not really had the chance to try this before. It was my first still and happy to be able to try this. One plate of the Briyani cost about $7. Although it is more expensive than other Briyani that you will eat normally but the portion is well worth it. I love the curry sauce drizzled on the rice as well as another sauce on the tender briyani chicken. The chicken was fried but succulent and delicious. You can also choose any side vegetable from the counter. I really like it that they don’t restrict you. If you love spicy, this is for you. Will definitely go back for this again.
