Lo and behold. Singapore is the first in Southeast Asia, to open the Pompompurin Café at Orchard Central with much fanfare. For a weekend ritual, make this cafe the perfect spot for parents to spoil their kids with the famous canine-themed décor.

Talk about a menu overloaded with colours and cuteness, we had Pompompurin’s Coconut Milk Chicken Curry . It’s a dish made up of chunks of chicken and mild coconut curry, topped off with veggies shaped as hearts, forks, stars and spoons. And, you have an adorable Pompompurin head-shaped rice to make you happy. It’s not spicy, but it tastes somewhat sweet instead. Still, the dish’s cuteness made up for everything!

For drinks, we picked the Cookie & Cream Caramel Latte . If you have a sweet tooth, this could be a drink and dessert for you. It’s a sweet and delicious drink, but its rich flavours can be too sweet for my liking. So, what are you waiting for? Unleash the inner child in you and indulge in the irresistibly cuteness of Pompompurin today! Seems like Singapore just can't get enough of Korean food. The highly anticipated Seorae Galmaegi has finally landed in Singapore at CapitaLand Mall Asia's Plaza Singapura. Snaking queue can be seen during dinner time and it's probably a good idea to go early.

What to expect at this famed Korean BBQ joint ? Seorae's signature Korean galmaegisal  of course, which is also known as pork skirt meat. The meat is somewhat tender and very flavorful in the marinade.

Other than the signature item, we had Samgyeobsal, pork belly, in spicy marinade , Hangjeongsal, pork neck , Woosamgyeob, beef belly and LA Galbi, beef ribs . You can choose to BBQ these meats yourself or Seorae's friendly service staffs will do it for you. Look after your meats carefully and once done, dip them in either the free flow egg at the side or the very delicious melted cheese which comes at $2 a portion (highly recommended by me).

Other than the pork, the beef belly has got to be my other favorite BBQ meat here at Seorae. Look at that perfect dip of meat and cheese below. Flavors complimenting one another and it would be a pity if you skip ordering the cheese.

Ramen Keisuke has launched its 10th outlet at Clarke Quay - Lobster King. Nope, you will not find full lobsters in your ramen but you will find that the broth is brewed from lobster shells. The lobster broth is meticulously simmered for 6 hours and is used when you order your ramen. Was told that its opening hours are till 5am. So for the clubbers and chillers, this is the place to get your hunger pangs satisfied after a couple rounds on the dancefloor.

Below, we had the Lobster Broth Ramen (Clear Soup) and the Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen. First thing when the ramen was served - lobster! That scent of lobster broth filled the air. Grab a spoon and dug into the soup and it was very flavourful. A tad salty but very delicious.

Besides the ramen, the omu rice (egg fried rice) was one of my other favourite dish. Grab a frozen beer to wash down the noodles and you're in for a great meal.

Pho Street @ Westgate OK Mar 05, 2016

Categories : Vietnamese

Shopping around Jurong East and thinking of an affordable place for a meal, Pho Street is located in one of CapitaLand Mall Asia's malls, Westgate. Located at basement 2, Pho Street could be an ideal solution to enjoy good , affordable and fast serving vietnamese food. You can start with some vietnamese street snacks like the Sesame Rice Crackers with Fragrant Mined Meat or the Vietnamese Snack Platter consisting of pork rolls, chicken skewers and vietnamese crabcakes.

If the stomach's feeling a tad spacious, the Banh Mi combi can be your choice of meal. Though you can't find that local authentic Banh Mi flavours, the combination of pork belly, grilled beef and chicken ham is just as good.

Throw in some Summer Rolls and bowls of Pho to complete your meal.

The ever famous ribs from Bali has landed on the shores of Singapore. Yeap, I am talking about Naughy Nuri's! Indonesia's reknown bbq glazed pork ribs opens at Capitol Piazza. Pork ribs are one of my favourite food and after hearing of the opening, decided to venture there during their first couple days.

How was it ? Well, compared to the Naughty Nuri in Bali, it was so much more expensive. LOL! However, this is probably one of the better places to get your ribs now in Singapore.

We ordered the full rack which cost about $35 (pretty decent serving and pricing). The meat slid off the bones and were tender and very flavourful.

We followed up with some Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and sides like fries, corncob and skin. Besides the pork, the other items were rather average. Fries though was one of the better sides that came out from the kitchen.
