Samosa time Smile Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Indian | Vegetarian

I went to big bites the other day for a quick snack & tea. I asked for a samosa. Which is very similar to a curry puff. It has a crispy other shell & is filled with potato, green chilli, onions & some indian spices. It is a deep fried snack. It is best eaten with sauce or chutney. It tastes good when served hot. Samosa also tastes great with a cup of hot masala tea. I've eaten samosa in other places, but the one in Big bites is really good, especially the filling inside it.

I was at KFC for lunch with a friend & decided to have chicken quesadillas for lunch. I had eaten it before & liked it, hence, though of eating it again. The KFC quesadillas are really light, not too filling & enjoyable for those wanting to have a light lunch. It has a chicken & cheese filling. Cheese lovers will enjoy it for it is completley cheesy smile. I enjoyed it with coleslaw, mashed potato & a mountain dew. The KFC coleslaw is the best coleslaw I've ever eaten & I love it.

Indian snack time Smile Jul 29, 2012

I went to Lau pa sat, since I was really hungry early in the evening & felt like eating some Indian snacks. I headed straight away to Komalas and looked at their menu. Then I ordered for Pongal & vada. Remembering my days in India, this use to be my favorite snack, which I use to eat practically everyday. Vada is made of ground pulses & is deep fried. While Pongal is made of rice & semolina. These are best eaten with Sambhar & chutney. In Singapore, Komala's makes the best pongal. I enjoyed my evening snack that day.

I was in little India & went to ABM restaurant for evening tea, when I spotted a poster at the counter---stating that they have Prata bomb on the menu, so I was curious to know how it tasted & hence ordered for one. It was served to me in 3-4 minutes. It is a normal prata, like any other, but is stuff with coconut, sugar & margarine. It was yummy. Unfortunately, though I took a pic, it is blurr, hence am not putting it up. The prata bomb is good evening snack & is more enjoyable with a cup of hot masala tea.

We shopped in Plaza Singapura during the GSS & decided to have dinner there itself. After dinner, we wanted dessert to satisfy our sweet carvings smile, so we ended up at Mcdonalds for a Sundae. We picked up a strawberry sundae this time. Normally we are big fans of the hot choc fudge sundae, but for a change, we took strawberry this time. It was a yummy sundae with softy vanilla ice cream & crushed stawberries in strawberry sauce. It was great after mixing the ice cream & the Strawberries. Yummy all the way!!!!
