Tea Time Smile Oct 11, 2012

I was in Orchard & it was my evening tea time. I just spotted Mr. Bean & decided to hae a soya milk. I ordered for a plain soya milk, warm, with 30% sugar levels. It was super refreshing, it was lightly warm, mildly sweet & was a bland soya milk, but it was so unlike the packaged Soya milk & tasted much better & finer. It costed about 1.3- 1.5 $ only. It is an awesome choice for a light refreshing milky drink.

Breakfast time Smile Oct 10, 2012

Just last week, I alighted at Dauby Gaut mrt & stopped by Plaza Singapura to pick up some breakfast. I felt like having some pancakes, so straight away headed to Mc'D's & ordered for a set of Breakfast Deluxe which includes-muffin, pancakes & eggs. I asked for a take away & went to office. I microwaved it before eating. The muffin was great it had a sausage cutlet inside & was really filling. The scrambled egg was normal. The pancakes were the best- soft, fresh, mildly sweet & tasty, I enjoyed it with maple syrup.

The whole breakfast set costed abot 6.5$ without the coffee, which is a little expensive but Ok to have sometimes. It was a great start to the day with some royal, yet simple breakfast smile lol

After a nice dinner at Nando's one evening, we decided to head to Venezia for dessert, so we went & were confused with which flavour to choose so we finally decided on mocha chocolate. The Gelato was so tasty, creamy, consistent & heavenly. It had a perfect blend of coffee & chocolate favour. I took a small scoop in a cup, since we had already pigged out on dinner. We enjoyed every scoop of it,utterly delicious. A small scoop costs about 3.5$ i guess, but its really really worth the price. You have to try it. They have some interesting flavours that I would like

to try next time smile. bowl

I visited Ananda Bhavan Restaurat few weeks back since I was craving to have Upma & a friend recommended that you get good Upma at Ananda Bhavan Restaurant. Upma is basically made wit samolina & is like a fried rice minus the soya smile. The spices are mild & it is quite filling. In India it is eaten as a breakfast snack. This Upma was loaded with vegetables & nuts & had a nice fragrance of ghee & curry leaves smile. It was served with chutney it costs about 2.5 $.

Fusion Indian/Chines food Smile Oct 10, 2012

This is the second time we visited Fifth season, since we liked their food when we dined there before. This time we went on a Sunday, so the restaurant was crowded. Their menu is really impressive. We ordered for veg spring rolls as starters. They were steamed spring rolls, unlike the noral oily ones, filled with healthy vegetables & drizzled with a vinegar based chilli sauce. Really good & a 'must try'. For main course we ordered to Noodle rice which we had tried before & din't mind having again. It is a mildly spiced combination of noodles & rice. It has the flavours of a normal fried rice, & is prepared well. We had it with Fish chilly. Fish fillet coked in soya chilli sauce & capsicum, was awesome. We simply loved all that we ordered. Compared to the 1st time,we noticed that their portions have increased now, which is a good thing smile The cost of each dish is 12-15 $.
