Today ordered 8 items but was charged $2.60. Why? Aunty said I got 7 items (30 cents each) + tang hoon (50 cents each). The tang hoon is put together with the rest on the display shelf and its special price is not stated on the sign board. (Please note that rice, bee hoon, laksa soup all have the prices stated on the board).

It is not healthy to watch baking shows everynight and not have any treats for yourself! Been having cupcakes craving like some pregnant woman and when I pass the Twelve Cupcakes.. all the pretty cupcakes called out for meee... EAT MEE!!

So I did.. well not all.. I pampered myself with a piece of Rainbow Vanilla.. Foodorgasm yo! I love how moist the vanilla cupcake was.. and the cream cheese topping was soo thick but yet fluffy... i enjoyed licking the corners of my lips.. Happiness can be bought at $3 haha

Ahhh simple pleasure

By the title of it you can tell how i excited i am for Ah Chew. Its been years since i have been back here. The previous trip i made for this was just horrible! The q was long and waiting for the seats is like waiting for the sky to fall.
My bad anyway came at the wrong timing.

This time is still crowded, the staff were kind enough to help us out to find a comfortable place for us to dine.
As always, im prepared to get what i have always wanted! Cold Steamed Milk Custard! (I think) My dear friend here goes thru the menu like its a life and death contract. Cant blame him. Too much to choose from.. So finally settled in with the Mango Pomelo with Vanillla Ice cream..Love the steamed milk.. was really smooth and silky just the way i like it. The Mango Pomelo was good too. A tad sweet for me but it was refreshing on a hot sunny day!

Why didn't i came back sooner??!!

Its pretty rare to see a tray full of buns here. And its not a common sight to see a looong que of ppl waiting to get their hands on those fresh out of the oven buns! Sometime you can see me qing for them after 7 on some days! And it's the Cheese & Raisin buns that make me coming for more and more!!

I can honestly say that their buns are one of the best sweet dough buns I have come across. I just loove the texture and their creamed cheese filling is reallly generous and creamy. To really get the ultimate shiokness is when its fresh out from the oven and you're stuck in the rain under some shelter.. I wasnt even bothered about being cold and wet! I had the most yummylicious bun that warms my belly for just 1.40!!!!!

If you've not tried it! oh buddy, you dont know what you're missing on!

Heard of Plain Vanilla through word of mouth. A colleague of mine raved about them countless of times! Makes me need to get my hand on one of them! And i eventually did.

I bought the Violet Lemon, which is one of the special of that week, that cost only $3.50. I love how elegant the cupcake looks. If you could see it closely, there's a small petals on the buttercream. Sweetly scented, it's lemon cake with lemon curd in the centre. This cupcake make look elegant but it packs a zesty punch with every bite!

I declare Plain Vanilla Bakery is THE go-to place for Cupcakes!
