Oh no no..  Cry Apr 23, 2013

Heard about this places from word of mouth and yes.. OpenRicer's reviewers as well so why not i just give this a go.

Head over before i rushed for class, and its seem quiet to my dismay.. But then again its located at Orchard Central.. its never crowded anyways. So they have like several different types of pizzas to choose from. Mostly there's ham on most of the pizzas.. a bummer for me.. so i just opted for the Magaherita which is just tomato based and cheese.

I paid close to 6/7 bucks just for the thin dry slice of the pizza.. immediately i went oh no no no.. not gonna make another trip here.. there weren't much flavor to it and it was too thin for my own liking.

Working in Orchard can be a pain.. Can be a pain especially when you want to find something that is Halal.
I really hate to be restricted from food but i just have to discipline myself.

ANYWAY!!! Grandma story aside... I have always passed by Pezzo but i never knew they were Halal until i approached the counter to have a look at their menu. There were at least 6 different types of Pizza on display, apparently its only for take away which is pretty sad. Would be nice if they had a few tables to chill at.

$4.50 for a big thick meaty PIZZA slice (not something else ah eheem!) I find it very reasonable, so i thought i would give it a try and get the Meat Muncher!

The thing that puts me off is their packaging.. They really should consider having a few tables for us to dine just chillax at.. Aside to the packaging, I really enjoyed my pizza, you can find turkey ham, minced beef and Italian sausages and i think more.. They're really generous with the meat! It's good. Will definitely come back for more!

Down Under..  OK Apr 23, 2013

This is my second visit to House of Robert Timms and i came in with a stomach full of expectations.. Err.. should have reminded my stomach.. the higher the expectations is, the bigger the disappointment..

I was planning to get something different and so i looked around what other diners were having.. glance around to my right.. Holy crap.. The lamb looked huge.. and the Fish & Chip to my right looks like it can serves up for 2.. oy ve! My stomach isnt that huge...

And so.. i thought i settled for something healthier.. smaller.. and lighter.. So i thought why not try the turkey bacon wrap with eggs and cheese. And i thought wrong..

It wasn't as flavorful as i would expect it to be and it was really bland. It was crunchy due to the warm wrap and lettuce and the taste of the egg and cheese is just.. bleugh..

Well i wont say i wont be back.. Probably will try their giant Ribeye Steak and Pavlova on my next visit.. Probably need to starve myself 2 days before hand first.

Oh yeah.. for those DBS cardholder, if you spend more than $30 in a receipt, you'll get 15% discount! Cheers!

Prawns in my mee rebus? OK Apr 12, 2013

Categories : Singaporean

If you want to try Killiney, dont bother coming during lunch hour. Looong que and other people, usually the office people, are like walking around like hawks seeing whoever that is about to be done. Not a comfortable position to be that person!

So I tried their Mee Rebus, must say its just average to me. No big of deal. Kinda disappointing cause i would expect better quality since i paid 6.90 for it and a drink. I had to remind myself that the prawns they gave had to compensate for the price i paid. Apprently didnt work. Bleuh. Maybe i made the wrong choice? I should have opted for the Curry Chicken that i see many of their customer were ordering.

So maybe you might think of skipping the mee rebus and opt for the curry chicken too no? smile

This Laksania outlet is small. Its small. Its really small.

So the 3 of us, who were to tired and hungry to look for other places to eat, looked around. Only one floor staff running around like a headless chicken and unoccupied tables with dirty plates everywhere. And we thought to ourselves. Just our luck.

So im just going to cut the chase. The food was okay. We love the fries with the laksa sauce. We couldnt get enough of it. That is a must try!

The one that i really wasnt happy about is the service. I was seriously pissed off that i had to come over to collect my drink, which came last out of all the dishes, at the counter. Not only that, I asked the staff to help me put out the fire of my hotpot laksa, that has all my ingredients, and came back with an empty hotpot. So I went to the counter and requested them to give me back the original hotpot and brought it to my table myself. Im like?? Seriously? Sigh.. im really not going to come back here ever ever ever ever again. Their other outlet yes. But not here in Bugis+
