Bringing the 2 visiting friends to one of my fav restaurant, end up adding 2 more very satisfied customers for Tao's ;)

Tao's never fail to hook the taste bud of customers with its starter. My 2 foreigner frens were pleasantly impressed. I've always been ordering Lamp Chop as it's really good with the special mint sauce, this time I decided to try their steak. Turn out I love the steak even more! It's really tender & cooking time was just right. Just that it's better if they have something else rather than creamy mushroom sauce as it's too filling. My fren said the brownie was very nice, I had very nice creme brulee but I couldn't finish was really too full. Apple tea was abit too bland this time but my frens love it so much they even ate all the apple inside.

I'm happy to see my frens happy & satisfied!

Christmas is coming! Smile Nov 30, 2010

Categories : American | Restaurant | Kids-Friendly

It's the best place ever for an after-movie-sit-down-and-relax session! I think it's the most Christmas-atmosphere restaurant in the whole Tampines 1. On a Monday Afternoon it's so comfortable that you can sit there for ages, to chat with friends or read a book or just enjoy an apple crumble.

I never had good feelings with NYDC last time because I tried their cake & I actually didn't like it. This time, we had salad, buffalo wings, baked mushroom, apple crumble & latte... & I like everything!

With a bunch of very good company, we enter the make-you-happy-deocrated nydc. We took forever to decide on what to eat but the waiter was not at all mad & kept the warm smile. (i think partly because there's very few customers on a Monday afternoon) The salad was huge, filling & fresh. My baked mushroom was pathetically just 4 pcs for $6.9 ;( Latte looks beautiful. The apple crumble was addictive! I thought I was full after eating the big pieces of buffalo wings but I uncontrollably kept sending the apple crumble into my mouth while it actually was my fren's order ;p

Value for Money~ Smile Nov 30, 2010

Categories : Taiwanese | Dim Sum

I never thought that Din Tai Fung could be described as value for money till this meal.

We had a big bowl of sour spicy soup, a xiao cai (appetizer), 10pc xiaolongbao, 6pc yam bun, a prawn fried rice, a pork chop fried rice, and the total bill was less than $12/head inclusive of chinese tea (4 pax)! And we even have left-over.

Xiaolongbao was as usual, up to standard but not impressive. yam bun was a good dessert choice. Surprisingly sour spicy soup was not too spicy, it used black pepper instead of chilli, nice~ I like the xiaocai very much too, appetizing~ Fried rice are both good, not too salty (last time they were very salty).

Service was good, all very courteous & attentive. No complain good girl friends ;)

Nice Affogato & Rose tea! Smile Nov 30, 2010

I always thought that Bakerzin only have yummy cake & that's all. Today in tai-tai mood, we decided to sit down here & have a tea.

The rose tea was of high quality taste, it makes you feel like u'll become more beautiful by drinking it haha~ I had a Affogato with Rum & Rasin ice-cream, the expresso was normal but it's rare that they have choice of rum & raisin for Affogato! The ice-cream was addictive & definitely a great match with expresso. Another friend ordered a Latte & it's pretty normal.

Service was good, staffs are all very friendly & it's pretty comfy that we actually chatted for more than 2 hours.

Affordable Teppanyaki~ Smile Nov 30, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Food Court | Kids-Friendly

After a tired day (of shopping and chatting), I decided to bring my friend to enjoy an affordable teppanyaki~

They seemed to have changed the recipe of the sauce and it's more sweet/sour than salty now, feels weird. My friend ordered beef set with chilli & it's much better. A Teppanyaki set at less than $10 is very affordable. I love that although it's a heaty meal, they gave a lot of veggie! ;)
