If not because of a friend's friend drove us here, I'll never know of such an obsure place that's worth the devious ride.

It was dark at after-dinner hour, there's not much lights & we're driving on a long stretch of road in somewhat like a mini-forest with no other buildings, felt like entering a secret land of fairytale. Then we saw dim light & were told that we're here. We thought it's one of the restaurant in the parking place but no, it's the little house up there abt 20 steps staircase away.

My best fren & I exclaimed: it's beautiful~ It's in fact very simple, nothing fanciful, but it's a winebar tat's well-designed where everything from lighting, wood flooring, white piano, roof & the white walls are harmonizing. It would be great if they have live singing/piano performance but we were not there at the right time. It was a little bored after sometime without performance and cos I am not a fan of alcohol. The mixologists seem very professional & creative but I couldn't taste the difference as a non-drinker. However it would still be great if you come with a group of best friends~

This beautiful little house is called - Klee.

*girls be sure u come with trusted friends, because u may not know how to go home & the taxi drivers may not know how to come...

It Deepavali Holiday & I gotta bring a HK fren to Sentosa & USS~ (Finally we tried on the Segway!) As she's afraid of ANY rides in amusement parks, I decided to bring her to the USS' After Hour Session @ just S$5 instead! After hearing good reviews of KT's Grill from friends, I decided to dine here regardless of the >30min wait.

It's nice to have live singing inside the beautiful restaurant, but it was abit too loud besides the speaker so we shifted to a table more inwards. It was another long wait before the food come but the food didn't disappoint us smile

1. 12oz Grilled Rib Eye Steak comes with a well baked tomato & potato ($34): We had it in medium & it's just nice, not too rare, not too well done, the steak is of high quality, juicy with "beef-taste" (u know there're some places tat serve beef with just "meat-taste" but not "beef-taste"). We killed the dish within 10 mins.
2. Pilaf Rice ($4): My fren likes it but I find it not buttery enough & abit hard, yes I like to "eat soft rice".
3. Sauteed Mushrooms ($4): Yummy & pretty cheap for restaurant.

What's best is the 15% discount when we present the USS ticket stub~
Service was good too (but seems like they have only 2 service staffs on the whole floor...)
Great place to chat with girlfrens or a romantic dinner smile

We thought so hard for wat to eat at ION during peak hour, none of us have craving for anything so we "anyhow" decided on this Dynasty tho my fren already had it a few days ago. We saw a long queue (jus like everywhere else) & was given a handwritten queue number on a random white paper.... she told us to wait for 30min.

So we walked around at {Prologue} & turned out we missed the number cos... we're not "10" but "01"!!! Who will write queue no. as 01 =.= Anyway the service was pretty good if we forget abt this ridiculous queue no. thing.

Once we entered we're welcome by the tea master & it's definitely an appetizing sight. I was super full from the buffet lunch @ Basilico so I my other 2 hungry frens do all the ordering. The highlight is of course the rainbow xiao long bao, it never disappoint me! The skin was very thin but not easily broken, right amount of soup at an "eat-now" temperature. Anyway I feel that the best tasting one is.... original haha (maybe it's just me, like i only like to drink original Yakult, not the colourful ones)

Drunken chicken was good too, I've tried some awful one at one restaurant before (can't remember which one though) cooked with bad wine quality. Noodles was so-so to me, I prefer softer & bouncier noodle, but the soup's quite good.

A place worth going back again, wanna try their other stuffs when my stomach has more space! Just that I find the environment too dark & too "gold" for my liking tongue

Birthday Girl: A Wish Come True! Smile Nov 05, 2010

Categories : Italian | Hotel | Restaurant | Buffet

This is the 2nd time I'm here & first time for my other 2 girls. One has no idea what to expect, one wanted to come here for years & finally I booked it for her BD. But I know clearly, both would love this place!

It was a Sunday lunch so there's no promotion, the price is also more expensive than normal days as the spread is abit different (with... free flow of Foie Gras).

Ham & cheese are the standard must have for Italian buffet, we are SPOILED by the choices of cheese, I think we couldn't have tried all of them. The Seafood Soup was something u'll crave for a second bowl thought u're very full. Have you ever tried meatball made from Wagyu? Yummy Risotto was presented to us half way thru the meal. Free flow of thick Foie Gras on truffle-topped crunchy bread was started to be serve at about 2pm. My girl who's never ate foie gras before had 3 big pieces & I think her $70+ was already gained back, me & the other fren were not a big fan of it, instead we indulged in many pieces of Chilled Alaska Crab Leg!!!!! Just the thought of them makes me wanna go back tomorrow... We wanted to try every piece of dessert but we were really too full... I dun have to say much, u guys jus go & try them!!!! Lastly instead of ordering jus a coffee or tea, I ordered a double expresso to pour on their high quality rich coffe-flavoured ice-cream to make my own Affogato -> the best Affogato I've tried so far.

Service was great, everyone (except one lady tat seems abit fierce) are full of smile & never reject our requests tat may not be their job. I didn't mention it's my fren's BD while booking but only let the staff know in the middle of the meal & ask for a cake, he immediately said no problem & observantly presented a yummy & generous slice of cake at the right time, with lighted candle & a chocolate-drew Happy birthday.

When the cake was presented & we asked the BD girl for her wish, she said it's already came true -> a marvelous meal @ Basilico. (& top it up with "world peace" haha)

My dear fren had not been to RWS, so we decided to bring her there for a girls night out on her BD~ We didn't do much on the short night, but with great friendship that we had for 10 years, we are happy together as long as we have good food & cute stuffs~

We had no idea what is good to eat at tourists' attraction so I made a call for a resourceful help (like in who wants to be a millionaire). The veteran in food hunting recommended Ramen Play outside the Casino. We were immediately attracted by the Alice with rabbit face standing tall inside the restaurant. The reno & deco was already appetizing, atmosphere is very important for us~ Our source was right, the food was good!

1. Ramen soup was yummy without making us thirsty, love the egg, noodle was Q.
2. Can't remember the name of the side dishes but they are all good~
3. Price was reasonable, not a bargain but also not "cutting caitou".

The only irritating thing was that when we pay the bill there's a bunch of 10+ RJC students in front of us &.... they paid ONE BY ONE despite sitting on the same table! So we waited in the queue for 10 over bills to be done before it's our turn...

Months later I brought my mum to the 313 somerset outlet & she likes it too, as a mum who cook almost everyday, she commented that it doesn't feel like there's msg in the noodle~
