Have 2 visiting frens in Singapore, so here we are again for a crab dinner!

We ordered a set meal this time. I had high expectation for the fried sotong kia but turn out it's the most disappointing one among the 3 starters - overcooked & too spicy. This time as we have more ppl, we didn't get a huge crab but 2 medium size ones instead. It's too spicy this time that I can't feel the real taste of crab... the buns are good though. Surprisingly the lemon chicken was quickly consumed by all, it's tender & the sweet/sour-ness of sauce is just right. The wholemeal flakes of the prawn was addictive & I had 1/2 bowl of rice just with that.

We were there on a good weather day, so it's not too hot though it's non-aircon on Geylang roadside. Service was not bad, table-booking lady was very friendly when I called & kept making changes.

It's still a nice meal overall but disappointed with the crab ;(

I used to love Carl's Junior because the 1st branch I went to was the East Coast branch. Tat's relaxing, with the humongous meal size with ingredients that's seldom seen in SG, it feels like you're overseas.

Unfortunately the other branches, be it Marina Square, Plaza Sing or Vivo, they are all crowded with many ppl passing by & doesn't create an atmosphere that makes you want to go in & "enjoy" a meal. Tampines branch is better but it's too small.

Plaza Sing's very open concept is not appealing to me, being at the entrance of MRT & opp a stretch of food kiosks, there's always so many ppl (esp dinner time) passing by, queueing & squeezing that you can't focus on enjoying your food or chatting with good frens. Food & service cleanliness is ok, but just ok. Would only go when other frens have the craving for Carl's burger...

Always like to pop by MOS for it's butterfly prawn or mussels. Crunchy but not too starchy prawns with a corn soup is my fav combi.

This time I decided to try their clam chowder for the first time! The taste I wouldn't say excellent, but I'm really impressed by the size of the big clam (not every clam is so big but at least there's a few)! It's not the tiny "baby clam" you find in pasta mania or can soup but reaching the size of hawker center pan-fried chili clams~

Toa Payoh brand is not very comfortable & clean but it's usually not too crowded so I still like to pop by here~

Was @ Expo for Sitex on a Saturday... wanted to find a place to sit down & fill my hungry stomach. It's horrifying to find the usually empty Subway filled with super long queue & super packed seats.

Apparently they have additional staffs for event days, so the waiting wasn't too bad. But they were left with very few choices of bread, no pickes & only 1 kind of cookie available at just 6pm. Service was ok, they didn't get mad despite the never ending crowd, but definitely had also lost their smile.

I dunno it's really the food or because sitting among a noisy crowd in a packed non-enclosed area, the bread didn't taste as good as other branches, abit soggy. The Soda was not gassy, but I realize most Subway branches' soft drinks are not gassy. The cookie was yummy though.

I think it'll be alot better if it's a non-IT fiar day~

I don't know how did my "best event organizer" girl came up with this place for another fren's bd, it's a nice place~

Sitting besides the 360 water ski "pond", without the massive crowd during the daytime, it's a relaxing place for dinner! There's very few ppl but the food is pretty fine, service was quite good. Price is acceptable. We definitely had fun this day!
