Why was it so empty? OK Nov 27, 2010

Initially we wanted to have dinner here on the interesting day-beds, however were quoted a unbelievable $109 per head... so we decided to go elsewhere for dinner & come back for drinks instead.

After dinner, it's still soooooo empty! The bar upstair is cozy, the drinks are quite nice, my fren's one is super yummy (meaning it's sweet & berry-like, good for non-alcohol lovers like myself but many others may not like it). When we got down to the day-beds section, it's again very empty. I think there's about just 10 ppl drinking & definitely no one dancing even past 12am.

We girls love sit lazily & chat on the day-beds, but seriously think that it's not hygienic as there must have been someone spilling food & drinks or even vomiting on one of the beds every night...

Conclusion, it's quite boring to go as a small group, but a great place if you book the whole place for party.
The pale pink one is very nice!

I was walking in Vivo quickly as I was in a hurry, however my feet just have to stop when I see this little Peking Duck shop. $6 for a pack of Peking duck wrapped in sweet crepe & sauce tat I always crave for?? No hassle of gathering a group & going into a restaurant? Not the need to order at least a half duck? At just $6? How can I not bring this home!

It may not be of highest quality compare to the restaurant's, but it's good enough for the price & convenience I get, everything is up to a decent standard - the duck skin, the crepe, the sauce, the cucumber, in fact I LOVE the idea of making my lovely pekking duck so readily available~

Great pizza but hate the queue OK Nov 27, 2010

I have to agree that the pizza here is really good! But there's always such a long queue that turn us off (to elsewhere) & they are like forever understaff.

It's not comfy to sit outdoor at SG's temperature even at evenings... but it's nice to have a drink by the river & next to the arts house, along a road posh-ly named parliament lane.

We were there for a fren's bd & so he's pushed up to the "stage" to join other bd boys from another table. Yes Timbre is quite boring, lucky that they have a host & live band to spice it up a little bit~

I actually thought that their soup would be great but it's just average... mushroom soup didn't have chewable mushrooms like new york new york or Tao's restaurant.

However the crepes are very yummy~ especially those with cheese.

The place is very pretty & cozy, especially like the wall paper~~ but a little pricey for the small portion.

Aft my colleagues brought me to the cheapest no signboard in SG, I think I won't like the other branches. Nothing beats the "dai pai dong" retro feel here. Decided to bring my seafood-loving dad.

Sad that they didn't have the "xiang luo" (a kind of whelk) that my colleagues ordered last time, it was fresh & sweet! So we just settle with a humongous crab. It was really really big. The best thing is my dad peeled off all the shells for me & I have the claw full of meat that's as big as my hand~ The very unhealthy thing (but it makes my dad happy) is the super lot of crab roe!

Price wise it seems cheaper than other no signboard, with the supersize crab, we are very satisfied. (but my dad shall eat vege for the rest of the week~)
