Today, I am in Downtown East. I pass-by this store and been attract by their advertisement, ‘The 3 IN 1 fantastic bean curd experience you ever had.’

The new concept of bean curd revolution, a unique taste of original bean curd in combination with homemade soya milk and add in a little topping of our choice. There are eight toppings selection.

There are various flavors for the Bean curd and Glass jelly in a bowls or cups. I had actually wanted to try the Han Tian flavor Toppings which is colorless in transparent and original from Taiwan; I ask the staff at the counter who advises me to try on colorful jelly than Han Tian which the texture is softer.

I choose the cup type drink with a big straw. The bean curd is really smooth and soft and it is drinkable. It tastes fantastic good with this combination. I really love it.

Next time I am surely have other flavors to try on.
The price is $2.70 per cup.

PEANUT CREAM PUFF Cry Jul 20, 2012   (Related Review)

This evening after work, I passed by Chewy Junior in Bugis Junction.

The various choices of toppings displayed in front of the confectionery stall managed to catch my attention so I decide to buy some more other flavors and try it out. The price is $1.90 per piece. At the moment, there will give some further discounts for box of eight or 2nd purchase for box of six.

This time I pick up my favorite peanut topping and immediately try on it. The peanut is crunchy and the custard is fragrant, but this time quite disappointed that I do like the filling cream which I personally feel that it is too sweet.

I will try on their other flavors and donut next time.

The Old Malaya Cafe, has another new outlet located in Tampines Mall basement 1.

This morning, we feel thirty and tired after exercise. I am looking for a place to have a dessert and can rest our feet at the same time. I think of this cafe where I am nearby.

The cafe provided varieties of Malaya nostalgia' cuisine, dessert and drinks. I ordered the Trucker's Chendol and my partner gets the salted plum drink. When I take a sip on the salted plum drink which is very good taste. The balancing of the sweetness and sourness are just perfect.

The Chendol contains of a lot of agar agar (the green substance), red beans & coconut milk. The drink refresh my mind and all the tired gone at once. No wonder during the old time the Truckers like to order this cold dessert to refresh them during the long journey driving along the road of the Peninsular. The price of Chendol and salted plum drink are $2.50 and $2.00 per glass respectively.

CHICKEN RISOTTO Cry Jul 20, 2012

sad

This afternoon, I am wondering in Downtown East Hub. I feel hungry and want to eat some food that can fill up my stomach. The first food that coming in my mind is something related to rice.

I step in to this Coffee bean outlet. As I know that they served chicken baked rice. This is how the Western cook their rice into delicious food. I had eaten baked rice before in other places. Do a comparison, I am quite disappointed of this serving, the rice is hard and not chewy at all and luckily the chicken meat has no stingy smell but the amount is too little that you do not feel like eating anything. The salad is the only portion that I appreciated.

I don’t think that I will order this dish anymore.

MUSHROOM SOUP OK Jul 20, 2012

This bowl of mushroom soup is rich, creamy and thick. You can scoop the soup for yourself. Each serving has a satisfactory and fun on it! You can scoop as much as it can. The soup though rich is not too creamy, not salty and taste good when you dipped with the small buns.

The mushroom bites are quite big and soft, when you take the first scoop into your mouth, the tasty mushroom juice will burst off and the soup sink into your teeth and throat, amazing feeling. I like this bowl of soup! It cost $3 a bowl and the bun is $0.30 each.
