The rather overcooked beef burger OK Jul 05, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches

My most favourite MOS burger was almost ruined when I had it at this outlet for dinner one night. It is rather bad to eat beef which is overcooked as the patty is dry and hard. I don't mean that they have to make it medium rare or what but not overcooked to the extent that it tastes bad. I just hope that the SOP of preparing food could be practiced across all the outlets. sad

I'm not sure why this drink is not listed as one of the signature drinks in the menu but it sure caught my attention when I was selecting my drink. And i was not disappointed at all. The combination of red bean with the milk base made this a smooth beverage with a hint of sweetness from the red bean. This is definitely great to go along with the spicy food served smile

Signature Mango Drink OK Jul 04, 2011
Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Seafood | Brunch | Kids-Friendly

I was accompanying a friend for dinner and decided to try one of its signature drinks as I was rather full. The mango iced frost seemed refreshing, especially I was feeling rather thirsty then and it was one of the signature drinks. Well, I was rather disappointed as it tasted like normal ice blend - definitely not worth the amount spent.

A filling breakfast at Toast Box Smile Jul 04, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Coffeeshop

I prefer the bee hoon breakfast set over the usual toast set as the former is definitely more filling than the latter and is thus value for money. I got to choose 3 sides beside my bee hoon and the auntie was rather generous in giving the portions for the sides. With a cup of coffee to go along, the meal was sufficient to tide me over an early lunch.

I'm someone who usually have something light for breakfast. As I was out real early one morning, I decided to go for the french toast set at Toast Box. I must said that the set was rather pricey. For a piece of toast and a cup of tea, the set costs nearly $4! And the auntie wasn't really generous with the kaya and butter. I left after I was done, feeling broke and still hungry.
