Prima Deli - Yishun Smile Dec 31, 2010

I love waffles especially the one sold at Prima Deli. The taste of the waffles is wonderful as they are not sweet or oily. The amount of batter used for each waffle is just right, therefore the waffle does not feel starchy. It costs $1.20 for an original waffle, which they will pack in the paper bag. I think the price is reasonable as most bakeries are selling at this price.

Yi Xin Japanese Dining  Smile Dec 31, 2010

Yi Xin is actually a Japanese restaurant though the name might sound Chinese. Located conveniently at Republic Plaza, the restaurant serves great Japanese food. I ordered the sashimi rice set, which tasted great as the sashimi were very fresh and the rice was fragrant too. Most importantly was that the sashimi was really fresh. It costs $18.90 for my food and I thought the price was reasonable as compared to other Japanese restaurants.

The Handburger - 313 Smile Dec 31, 2010

I ordered the Pulled Pork Burger at The Handburger restaurant@313. It costs $8.90++ for the meal, which I thought the price was reasonable. The pulled pork tasted salty though it was supposed to be a healthy meal as the term pulled pork meant lower fat in the meat. The bread patty tasted alright, it was grilled at the right temperature. The ambience of the restaurant was unique and I liked the decor of it.

Pig's Organ Soup  Smile Dec 31, 2010

The three layered meat pork stews taste wonderful when marinated in the gravy and eaten with the rice. The fats on the pork were minimal and you could taste almost all meat. For just $4, you get to enjoy such a meal. I ordered the takeaway and the food was neatly packed in the containers. The queue was alright and I didn’t had to wait long for my food to be ready.

Dessertstory  Smile Dec 31, 2010

Dessert story sells a variety of dessert and all of them taste fantastic. I like the water chestnut best of all. It’s not sweet or starchy and taste totally great on the whole. It costs $2.80 for a bowl of dessert, I feel it’s quite pricey actually as the portion of the dessert is quite small. The stall is usually crowded but on that particular day, we were lucky to find seats.
