Papaya juice with milk Smile Dec 29, 2010

Categories : Hawker Centre | Juices

I was craving for a healthy drink, therefore I decided to have the papaya milkshake.

I bought it at the fruit stall at the food centre. It took awhile for my drink to be ready though there was no queue.

It tasted great with the milky and papaya taste. The portion was a lot, the amount of juice was full to the brim of the cup lid. They are really generous with the serving.

The drink was very cheap. It costs only $2 for the cup of papaya juice with milk.

Overall, good.

Economic Mixed Vegetable Rice  Smile Dec 29, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court

I ordered the sweet and sour pork and steamed greens with sauce ladled over the rice.

I paid $2.50 for the plate of rice which consisted of 1 vegetable and 1 meat. The price was quite reasonable for the portion served.

The meat was tender and fresh, the sauce was not too sweet either. The vegetables were fried just right, giving it a great taste.

The coffeeshop was crowded during lunch hour, luckily we managed to find seats. The coffeeshop was not stuffy, therefore it was alright to eat there.

Fried carrot cake Smile Dec 29, 2010

Categories : Food Court

I had fried carrot cake (white) for dinner. It was from the food junction food court.

It costs $4 for the plate of carrot cake and an additional $0.20 for take away. The price was ok, reasonable for food court.

The food was still hot when I reached home. It tasted quite good as it was not oily and salty.

The aunty remained friendly, even after I had make requests for less oil and salt on the fried carrot cake. It was good that she remembered my food preference requests.

Watami  Smile Dec 28, 2010
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Dining experience at Watami was indeed a relaxing and an enjoying one as promised. The restaurant was prominently located at the basement of Raffles City.

I went there with a friend and I ordered the salmon stone pot with rice and fried camembert cheese. Both taste great and yummy. I usually always order these two dishes whenever I’m at Watami.

The standard of the food was good. It totalled up to around $20 per person, quite a reasonable price for Japanese dining.

The service of the staff was a bit slow and they could really improve much more on it. I will definitely come back again for more of it.

Patisserie Glacé  Smile Dec 28, 2010
Categories : Japanese | Bakery | High Tea | Desserts and Cakes

Patisserie Glace has the best Japan's cakes, pies and cookies and tarts in Singapore. Their cakes are really unique as compared to the cakes sold in bakeries elsewhere.

The designs of the cakes attracted me to the shop as I was walking pass Icon Village. I popped by the shop and couldn’t resist not getting any of the pastries. I decided to try out this cheese bun which costs $3.20. Cheese cake is a safe choice and never goes wrong.

With the first bite, it left me a deep impression. It is really moist and soft, I totally love the taste of it.

As for the price, it is actually a little pricey for pastries. But it’s still worth the money, so long I don’t have it daily.
