Youmenya pasta Smile Jul 31, 2011

All restaurants at MBFC are always pack and full of crowd during lunch hour on weekdays. We decided to try out Youmenya Goemon as the pastas look really delicious. I ordered the seafood pasta with tomato soup base. The spaghetti taste great with the fresh ingredients. It costs around $15 for lunch and I think it’s worth the money.

fruit tarts. Smile Jul 31, 2011

I'm a fan of fruit tarts and walking past The Royals, the promotion and friendly staff service attracted me.

The special promotion was $10 for 10 pieces. I chose a mixture of variety of strawberries, mangoes and kiwis. The tarts were named to be low in fat and calories, a healthier option.

The fruits were fresh and the pastry was great on the overall.

We decided to try out Bibigo located at Raffles City shopping centre. They serve really great Korean food at average price range. It costs around $15 for the stone pot Bibibamp. It tastes really great with the sauce and variety of fresh ingredients. The ambience is nice for a chat session while enjoying the food.

Chicken. Smile Jul 31, 2011

I was in the Novena area with a friend and was thinking what to have for dinner.

We were thinking having it at a coffee shop, like chicken rice or whatsoever but looking at the weather, we gave it a miss.

Chicken related, we decided to give Barcelos at Square 2 a try. It was empty but we went in anyway.

I ordered a chicken wrap with a choice of 1 side, I chose the tasty rice. The rice grains were succulent and fine. The wrap was soft and the amount of chicken and salad inside was generous!

I bought the 8 pieces of takoyaki balls this time! Instead of what I'd usually get, 4 pieces.

I miss how they used to sell in 6 pieces because I feel that is just the right amount. 8 pieces can be too much and 4 pieces can be too little.

The takoyaki balls here are really different! They are very tasty, super crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside.
