Ice-Cream!! Smile Mar 05, 2011

Categories : Italian | European | Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes

I stepped in Il Gelato Di Bruno because of voucher $2 that I got when I bought chocolates in Hersey shop just right beside it. I bought the Mocha Frappe which it is come with a scoop of ice-cream on the top. I saw the crew scoop the cappuccino ice–cream into the blender. Then you get to choose a scoop of cream of your choice. I chose cookies and cream. The manager asked me to judge it myself whether it’s better than the Starbucks or Coffee Bean frappe.

After I slurp my drink, I’ve no doubt to buy a birthday cake for my friend there. I came back there the next day and got my Milk Chocolate Ice-cream cake as a present. And it’s cheap, $30 for the round cake and $40 for the square cake. I couldn’t believe it to be so cheap. And you will get 25% if your birthday is fall on that week [Monday is the 1st day].

The crews there are friendly and I am sure go there again! lol

I can’t control my eyes looking at the crispy puffs that selling at the 1A Crispy Puffs stall. Tried the one in Marina square before but it’s closed down already. They sell Durian puffs (My favorite!), curry puffs (with/without egg), chili crab puff, black pepper chick puff and many more. The price is varying from $1.20 to $1.60.

I like the shape of the puff. I think the original curry puffs’ shape should look like this. I’ve made curry puff before in school. I know how hard to make the shape to look like this if using hand. There are reasons to make the layered skins for the puff, anyone knows? tongue

Your Seafood Buffet Place Smile Mar 05, 2011

Categories : Fusion | Hotel | Seafood | Buffet

Have a craving for seafood such as crabs or fresh oysters? This is the place for you to have them at free flow. Harvest of the Sea Buffet at Spices Cafe. The name of the buffet itself tells you how seafood it is. Spices Cafe provide the perfect ambience and atmosphere for most events such as birthdays or valentine's day.

They have 6 different kinds of method for cooking the crab and the best thing is they cooked by order so they are hot when served to you and no squeezing and queuing for it.

The oysters are really fresh. They are cleaned on the spot by a chef and they refill non stop so no need to be afraid it will run out. Every diner also gets half a lobster baked with cheese free.

Basically, their seafood are really fresh and delicious. The only setback is there are no free flow of drinks here and their drinks are pretty expensive. However, Ice Water is free flow so as long as you do not mind non-sweetened drinks, it will be fine for you.

Desserts were not great so if you are going there with a mind of nice desserts then I would suggest you not to.

I've visited this Indonesian BBQ over and over again. If you like Indonesian BBQ, you must try on the BBQ there! And the price is same as the price you found in coffee shop.

I've tried the grilled chicken, fish, and sotong. They've provides the combined set also. Chicken and Sotong set, Fish and Chicken set. Every set comes with a rice and a piece of egg. After they girlled the chicken, fish or sotong, they will dip it inside the dark sauce. I love the dark sauce lol and the sambal chili. I always see the boss of the stall monitor his staffs cook the sambal chili.

You may top up your set by adding $0.80 for the veggies or $1.20 for the orange juice.

Perfect Meal  Smile Dec 30, 2010

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Pasta

I like to meet up with my girl friends at Pasta de Waraku because the portions of the foods are quite small and we can order more to share. I went there 2 times for last week, is it too frequent? I think so. I am still craving for the foods there. tongue

I love the thin pizza, crispy and it does not make you puke if you eat more. I’ve try the cheesy eggplant pizza and the Scallop pizza. I can’t forget the eggplant, it’s so soft and smooth in your mouth while the pizza crust is so crispy. The combination is perfect with the cheese. If you do not like eggplant, try the scallop pizza. I always save the scallop for the last bite. lol

I’ve tried the bacon and tomato soup pasta, seafood soup pasta as well. You will be amazing by the plate? Or bowl? shocked that comes with the noodles. I love the soup, sweet because of the seafood/bacon, sour because of the tomatoes. It’s super yummy and warms your stomach. It’s a new experience of Italian pasta, creative and delicious.

They are having the promotion now. You will get 1 for 1 Hanito if you pay by DBS credit/debit card. We are 3 little silly girls thought that we can finish chocolate banana Hanito and Mixed fruits Hanito. shocked When the waitress served us our Hanito, we’ve stunned and sit there for another 1 hour just to try finish it. The bread is crispy for the sides, soft in the inner. We closed our eyes and enjoyed the each bites in our mouth, the bread + ice cream + fruits + chocolate syrup. We are in heaven lol
