Yummy~ Yumi Yogurt! Smile Mar 30, 2011
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

I am wondering why there is people queuing for Yumi Yogurt and the age range is quite large. I could see teenagers, kids and adults are queuing for it. So I queued up and give a try also. To start your order, you need to choose the cup size that you want to buy, regular, medium or large. Then, you need to choose your yogurt flavor, durian, peach, original and so on. Last step, choose the topping that you want to have. They have nut, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Fresh fruits are slightly more expensive while other topping only cost you $0.95 per scoop. I chose the peach flavor yogurt. It’s really taste like Ice-cream but it’s not that creamy. It’s a soft frozen yogurt and it’s a bit sour. Not bad. I like their slogan, “where healthy meets delicious”. lol

Tender BBQ Chicken Smile Mar 30, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk | BBQ

When you pass by this BBQ Delights, you can see the roaster machine in their kitchen. The chicken seems roasted to perfection inside the glass BBQ machine. I’ve bought the BBQ black pepper chicken winglet. It is selling at $2.30 per stick with 4 winglets. When the cashier handed me the chicken, it’s still super hot, maybe it’s just came out from the roaster machine. I could say the chicken the tender and the smell of the black pepper is not too strong. Although I am expecting a spicy hot black pepper smell but I am still liking this light black pepper flavor on the chicken. It’s worth a try. smile

They are selling chicken steak in honey and black pepper flavor. BBQ ribs also available in this stall together with BBQ chicken wings, BBQ chicken drumlet and popcorn chicken as well.

Hard Bread - Not my choice!  Cry Mar 30, 2011

Categories : Bakery

My friend told me she likes Four leaves breads more than BreadTalk. I am wondering why so I give a try. The Four Leaves branch in Clementi Mall is not so big. I’ve bought the Spicy Chicken Donut, $1.20 and the Premium Chicken Sausage Donut, $1.40. The price is slightly cheaper than BreadTalk for similar bread.

When I take on first bite on the Spicy Chicken Donut,, I am surprised the bread is so hard. I can’t taste the curry chicken filling yet for my first bite. It’s too deep down inside. What a big disappointment, they do not put much filling in it. When come to the Premium Chicken Sausage Donut, the bread is hard also but the sausage is still ok. I have not tried other items from Four Leaves yet, I can comment on those. If you have tried it, I would like to hear from you. smile

Not bad Zhi Char~ Smile Mar 30, 2011

Categories : Coffeeshop | Seafood | Zi Char

This Ming’s Kitchen is located next to the Singapore Pool near the 24 hours NTUC in Clementi. It’s inside the coffee shop called Varinice. This coffee shop is crowded with people when dinner time. They are selling zhi char kind of food including Chili Crab, BBQ Stingray, and so on. I’ve tried the Chili Crab before, it’s not bad. Usually, they are selling the crab at $3.50 per 100gram. I personally like their Hotplate Tofu. It’s a bit different from what I have in other food stall. The gravy is not watery and they add minced pork to cook together which it's give the sauce a good taste. You can find bean, carrot, button mushroom, shitake, prawn, egg and egg tofu on the plate. Previously they selling it at $8 but now they rose up the price to $9 maybe it’s too popular? Overall the food there is quite nice, except the Stingray. It’s doesn’t look like being BBQ. The Stingray is over soft like being steamed. The Stingray sauce is watery.

Healthy Sub Smile Mar 29, 2011
Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Having the 6-inch sub in Subway made me feel I am eating in healthier way. I almost forgot how to order in Subway because it’s has been a long time I never buy anything from Subway already. Let’s go through the steps again. 1st step– selects your meal (sub, salad or wrap). 2nd step – Choose your bread (Italian, Wheat, Parmesan Oregano, Honey Oat or Hearty Italian). 3rd step – Choose the size (6 inch or foot long). 4th – Choose your extra (add bacon, cheese or meat?). 5th step – Choose your veggie (Onion, Tomato, olive…). 6th step – Choose your sauce (mayo, honey mustard…). 7th step – Make it a meal or not?

I always love the veggies they stuff into my sub, always fresh and juicy. Do not choose too many sauces because the sauces’ taste will overtake the taste of the veggies and the meat or cheese that you choose. I like to complete order to a meal set that come with a drink and 2 pieces of cookies/ chips. Of course, I chose the cookies. Their cookies are not too hard to chewy but it’s nice. Not too sweet and not too hard.

The serving crews there do not look so friendly might caused of the crowed peak hour during lunch time. They do not give you much time to think of what you want and they will give you the fierce look if you take long to decide.
