2nd chance! Smile Jul 29, 2013

After my dismaying visit a previous time to the bukit panjang branch, I decided to try this branch as my friends recommended this branch to me.

I ordered the Sirloin Steak ($27.50) and expected it to come in the black cow-shaped hotplate instead of a normal plate. As usual, I ordered the medium rare and they really delivered this time! I was impressed (: I didn't like those round radish looking thing at the side though and left it untouched. The fries were hot and crispy, just the way I like it.

I'm so glad that I came to this branch because Jack's Place has redeemed itself, at least this branch did.

After trying so many places of pepper lunch, I feel that this place has one of the best services and it was big enough to house a number of patrons so the waiting time isn't that bad.
I ordered the Curry Rice Wagyu ($12.90). I love adding the crazy amount of sauce to my dish and frying it around, hearing the sizzling sound as I cook! The curry was quite strong and eating it with rice is always the best. They yolk was raw but it got cooked really quickly and I couldn't savour the part where I can drench it all over my rice. I think that there should be a less rice portion as I prefer to eat lesser rice and more ingredients.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this very much!

Jap Chae has always been one of my favourite korean dishes every since I tried it at another korean place. I'm always searching for the next best Jap Chae and the one at Bornga clearly came close to the first. The glass noodle has been stir fried with beef and vegetables and even some egg slices! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they're always so generous with the sesame seeds! There are also some shredded carrots and black fungus hiding around! This dish can definitely serve more than 1 petite sized eater and may even go up to 3-4 if you're ordering the other bbq dishes!

I love this dish and I will definitely be back to try their BBQ dishes which my neighbouring tables were eating!

Cheap and Good! Smile Jul 29, 2013

I've always love having my meals in school as it is not only cheap, the standard is comparable to the food court outside.
Furthermore, it is acutally a foodcourt (Koufu) but priced reasonably for the students.

I ordered the e-mian sliced fish soup and it was fabulous! For $2.50, i really couldn't ask for more! There were a generous serving of fish slices and vegetables, and the soup was also really good! It was so flavourful I finished the whole bowl of noodle and gulped down the soup like a champion too! haha! You can also also the stall owner to add more small fried fish to make the taste of the soup even more powerful!

YUMMY in the TUMMY!

This cranberry cheese is comparable to the bakery that I always buy from as I love the taste of it! If i'm ever in town and craving for some cranberry and cheese bread, this will definitely be my choice! I like that there were many cranberry bits sprinkled around the bread and the bread was really really soft! The cheese was really fragrant too! I liked everything about it and I will definitely be back to buy more if I ever walk past this stall again! smile
