After my dismaying visit a previous time to the bukit panjang branch, I decided to try this branch as my friends recommended this branch to me.

I ordered the Sirloin Steak ($27.50) and expected it to come in the black cow-shaped hotplate instead of a normal plate. As usual, I ordered the medium rare and they really delivered this time! I was impressed (: I didn't like those round radish looking thing at the side though and left it untouched. The fries were hot and crispy, just the way I like it.

I'm so glad that I came to this branch because Jack's Place has redeemed itself, at least this branch did.

Fish and Steak Combo OK Jul 29, 2013

Steak and Fish Combo ($22.50)

This dish is a combination of steak and fish. You're allowed to choose how you would like the beef to be cooked, I chose medium rare and it did not cook well. So I told the waitress to bring me another one as it was a little close to well-done instead of medium rare. They didn't give me another piece but I think they heat it up and or merely took it into the kitchen to prance it around and gave it back to me because there wasn't any difference... I didn't want to argue as I was really hungry. And for the price that I was paying, I really expected more from them. The fish was quite good. I love the baked potato at the side! I told the waitress to keep pouring the sour cream and bacon bits! HAHA! Vegetables at the side were well-cooked so I have no qualms about it.

I feel that the standard has dropped a lot since the last time I came, seems like they weren't worried about losing customers.

After trying so many places of pepper lunch, I feel that this place has one of the best services and it was big enough to house a number of patrons so the waiting time isn't that bad.
I ordered the Curry Rice Wagyu ($12.90). I love adding the crazy amount of sauce to my dish and frying it around, hearing the sizzling sound as I cook! The curry was quite strong and eating it with rice is always the best. They yolk was raw but it got cooked really quickly and I couldn't savour the part where I can drench it all over my rice. I think that there should be a less rice portion as I prefer to eat lesser rice and more ingredients.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this very much!

Bad funny..  OK Jul 29, 2013

Tried this new chicken dish which was wrapping some salmon bits. It was a funny combination; i didn't really enjoy it. There were some fruit salad on it, which had kiwis, tomatoes, and onion. Really really odd taste. This dish cost $14.80 and I felt that it was not too bad.

I also ordered a dessert to make myself feel happier and I think it cheered me up after my disappointing meal!

This cost $5.20 after a 20% discount that I had. I think it's quite worth it! The ice cream and caramel was really good! I love hot and cold desserts together. The round pancake looking thing was really soft and squishy but I was tired of eating it after awhile. Still! This made me really happy! smile

Creative Drink! OK Jul 29, 2013

Went out with the bf the other day and after we had our meal somewhere else, I was dying for a drink and I spotted the ichiban sushi having a new drinks menu. They always seem to come up with new menu to attract the customers in! I love this about the restaurant.

Ordered this drink which was really pretty. When you stir it you can see the bits floating around and making a mini tornado inside makes it looks even prettier as the red bits (strawberries) starting floating up! And it looks like a sunset. This is essentially strawberry + sprite! But I like the combi! Although it is a little pricey at $4.90++
