Lunch break OK Sep 29, 2017

Dropped by Orchard Central for lunch break. Went into this place at corner of lift lane. Look quiet at lunch. We started to ordered at counter before serving.

Tom yam pasta and fish & chips. The wait for not long actually before serving our drinks.
Was having a promotion for pasta.

Tom Yam seafood pasta. - $10.00
The gravy was thick and toppling with one big clam and 4 prawns.
One bite on those prawns could not really feel the freshness maybe because of gravy favours covered it. The pasta was normal and a little spicy will be better.

Fish &chips. -$10.00
This fish is fresh but not the best I have eaten so far. The dish served with mesh potatoes and onion rings. The bite is not that well mixture on this plate causing my appetite drops too. The onion rings is oil and tasteless compared to other onion rings I have ate.

Overall price is average.

Was searching at 4th of Takashimaya for lunch. Saw this external look different and cosy.
Ordered from the menu, Garlic chicken and seafood cream sauce pasta.

Garlic chicken -$17.80.
The chicken is well cooked and look delicious. The plate also look bigger than normal. The meat is fresh and tender.

Seafood cream sauce pasta. -$18.30.
The sauce is creamy like cheesy. With the pasta toppling and seafood mixtures was a well done pasta. Personally the sauce is very special and should not give it a miss. The seafood consists or prawns, sotong and mushrooms.

Hot potato gratin -$7.80
Was my first attempt for this ordering.
Given 3 small slide of garlic bread and this hot potato with 2 eggs mixture was very well combination. Scope and place on this breads is perfect. Just if they can give few more breads was a totally perfect recommendation.

Overall a good experience and recommend for all food explorers.

Osaka Tarts Smile Aug 13, 2017

Categories : Japanese | Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

Finally found some time to make my way to this new restaurant selling Osaka tarts just start its doors this month.

Waiting time 60mins... 😰😰😰.
Ordered 1piece Matcha green tea and 2 piece of Pablo mini cheesy.
The first bite on Matcha green tea was smooth and soft texture. The sweetness is just nice as I don't like too sweet. This palm size tart can shared with 3-4peraon for a break. The brownish skin is thin and very crippy after 2 hrs too. This tart is surely for those like green tea favour.

The original cheesy tarts have a cute look. The skin is also crispy and have a fantastic favour for me. The cheesy is whitish colour and watery. Thus eating in your mouth will not feel dryness in throat.

Overall is good and slightly expensive feels.
Worth waiting. 👍👍👍

Tonkatsu ramen Smile Aug 06, 2017

Categories : Japanese | Ramen

This weekend was back to Novena but this time visited this restaurant which located at 2nd level. The RED colour stucture design cannot be miss. The furniture is quite traditionally designed. Started to order curry ramen and Karamiso spicy ramen.

The wait was not long and every table also have free eggs to starter to pass time. What a surprise with the ramen serving with a funnel like shape on TOP of Claypot. 😬😬😬Refer to photo.

After waited for another 1 mins, both ramen is ready and dame HOT. The toppling came with a lot of vegetables, 2 slide of Chao Siew and sprouts. The Chao Siew is very thick compared to other restaurant which I estimated about 200%. LOL.

The soup is very fresh and thick texture. The spiciness would have been more spicer possibly will be perfect for me too.
Add on 2 more side dish, Gyoza. The meat well cooked with skin is thin and crispy too. Not so special for this one.

Overall is good experience and will come back in future.

Attending some exhibition event and dropped by this coffee cafe. The decoration have a fusion look with Japanese theme and western style combination.

Ordered brunch sausage and bacon and cheesy chicken cutlet. The waiting time was slightly longer than usual possibly due to less worker. 😀

The bunch sausage and bacon tasted good with fresh salad, eggs and sausage. The ending with pancake served with honey is just great too.

Coming cheesy chicken cutlet from the look already delicious. This dish also can for rice or toast. There is also salad and fried potatoes slides add on. Was accompanied with a sauce with this dish.

With the weather, ordered a iced fruit tea which have mixed taste. Have try other , feel it was not as outstanding compared. But worst to try if some have not taste it.

Overall experience was enjoyable and filling. If have some time, will try their desert which look nice too.
