Dessert @ Dessert Bowl Smile Apr 25, 2012

Dessert @ Serangoon Garden's Dessert Bowl - after having dinner nearby...

my partner Suddenly crave for durian... so we thought of going for some durian desserts at Dessert Bowl.... but we were there quite late you see... it's around 9pm and it's a Sunday! any dessert with durian is all not available.. so disappointed... the demand is really high though...

Mango Ai-yu (Very nice, alternative when the famous durian mousse runs out)
FYI Ai Yu jelly is the same Ice Jelly that we have from those hawker centre or food court store... just that in taiwan they are known as Ai Yu... and in singapore we just call it as ice jelly..

Melon Sago (Quite nice and refreshing) but i will prefer Mango Ai Yu more...

the place is crowded with ppl during weekends... and groups of friends usually like to come here and hog the seats too! annoying isn't it? do bring a ear plug if you could... ppl there like to talk very loudly...

and the shop should consider removing away the 4 sofa seats, so that they can accommodate more hungry ppl, isn't it?

So if you want to try their famous durian mousse do drop by early before it is all gone..
Good.. can try

Dinner @ Overeasy Smile Apr 25, 2012

Dinner @ One Fullerton's Overeasy - A nice place to chill out with your friends or loved ones...

Indoor (aircon) and alfresco (Smoking and non-smoking area)

by the time my partner and i was there, the alfresco non-smoking area which have the normal table seats are all occupied... only left the smoking area (tall tables with high stools) and you need to bear the occasion breeze of "not so fresh air" (if you know what i mean) haha.

Eggs Skillet (Scrambled eggs $16) overall wasn't really great.. just ok only...

Pan-seared Sea Bass with Spinach and Corn Risotto (Thumbs up, worth $26++) Spinach and Corn risotto really rich and nice... and the sea bass is just nice! worth the $26++ bucks...

Truffle Fries (Crunchy enough but it is a little too ex for just shoe string fries even though it is "truffle fries", although the portion is fairly big for $12)

White Peach Bellini Champagne (nice nice.. $21,) and IBC Root Beer Float ($10)

the good thing about sitting in the alfresco area is because you get to see the people walking by, and the view of Marina Bay sand is great too!

But service was a bit bad... i called for the bill for 3 times..

Drinks @ ArTeaStiq Smile Apr 25, 2012

High-tea @ Mandarin Gallery's ArTeaStiq - was on leave, so meet up with my close friend for high tea... the place that always comes to my mind is Arteastiq @ mandarin Gallery... a place where you can feel a little bit more atas but yet it wouldnt burn a hole in your pocket.

they offer normal teas to dessert teas (tea with gelato) to chocolate and coffee drinks... not to forget they have finger foods (pastry/cakes) or some light food (prata wrap/sandwich) or even some new main course that they introduce sometime this year too...

Lady Yang ($11) - it's Oolong Tea with Lychee tea gelato...

Monet ($10) - it's french rose tea with champagne vanilla gelato (the champagne vanilla gelato taste a little bit different as before... last time taste better! standard drop already)

Wagyu Beef Wrap (Roti Prata wrap beef slice! Nice nice!, $8.90)

Winter Salmon ($12.50) Very yummy with a touch of Wasabi!

it is a good place to chill out with your close ones or your best friend.. if you you manage to get the sofa seat it will be even better...

Dinner @ Din Tai Feng Smile Apr 25, 2012

Categories : Dim Sum

Dinner @ Bishan Junction 8's Din Tai Feng - be it whether is in town or neighbourhood area... Din Tai Feng always filled with ppl queuing to go in and have their famous Xiao Long Bao...

No surprise to the store @ Bishan! my partner and i queued more than 20min to get it... and we was given a 4-seaters table instead of 2! reason being they do not have 2 seaters @ that moment... frankly i do think that they should convert those four seated sofa seats into those joined table... so that they can split the table and allow more ppl like us to come in at a time...

As usual, we ordered the Xiao Long Bao, standard is there as usual.. but just depending on your skill when you pick the xiao long bao up... if you are not careful enough... the "soup" will slip out before it goes into your mouth...

FYI, the "soup" that is inside from the xiao long bao contains alot of OIL! and it looks normal.. but the calories count is very very high.. that's what i read from somewhere on magazine...

anyway who cares right? eat first then think about it later! haha...

Egg Fried Rice with Pork (Very Very delicious, must try) the egg yolk is like combine together with the rice, and the fragrance of the whole dish is so strong... although i must say it is a little bit oily, you will notice when you finish the dish because it is on the plate.

Shrimp and Pork Wanton Noodles Soup - soup is great... it is always good to order their ramen with some wanton or dumplings... reason because that's when you can taste a few piece of the wanton or dumplings and have the soup and noodles too!, but if you order the wanton or dumplings as ala crate, you will only get either the wanton and noodles...

overall experience is good.. just hate to queue for it that's all..

to check with the waitress if there is any credit card promo.. because they usually have!
Great! As usual good!

Dessert @ Tiong Bahru Market's Tian Tian Yuan Dessert House - A place with full of affordable and hearty dessert!

It was a very warm day... so decided to go for some cold desserts to cool down a little...

as we all know, Tiong bahru market is one of the famous market with lots of "treasure" here.. there are more than 30 or 40 food store here, and some of the food store kind of repeated.

Everyone have their own preferred store... so i happened to like this Tian Tian Yuan Dessert House. saw many ppl trying out desserts in green bowl... therefore i went around to look for which store is using the same green bowl..

Colleague and I queue for a while, and the store helper is very good with taking order, she could remember our order and keep repeating to the one inside preparing...

My colleague had the Ice Kachang (Nice and rich ingredients below the shaved ice but something weird is there wasn't any condensed milk over the ice, we suspect that they could have forgotten to put or maybe that's their style? $1.20 for this..)

I had the Qing Teng (One of the best Qing Teng I must say, Red and Green bean was added into the dessert thus it is very sweet, and it is very unique to know they have red and green beans in it, the normal or perhaps the Standard ones from other store doesn't), less than $1 i think... forget the price..
