Dessert @ Jean-Philippe Darcis Smile Jan 26, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Café

After a heavy dinner at one of the restaurant @ Marina Bay's The Sail, my friends and I try our luck and look for a dessert place at Marina Bay Sands, and so we came by Jean-Philippe Darcis. it was already after 8pm, so that have some kind of 1 for 1 promotion.

the place is pretty quiet at that time, and only 2 of the tables are occupied.

Chocolate Mousse with a piece of gold thin paper, pretty chocolaty and smooth, (nice)

Mini Chocolate Puff Tart (Nice)

Raspberry Mousse (a little sour, but not bad lar)

Crepe with Cooked Apple and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Very Nice, cooked apples are very soft and juicy, eating with the vanilla bean ice cream will give you a good WARM & COLD feeling)

Waffle with Bananas and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Nice waffles)

WIll be a nice place for someone who wants to read a book and an alternative to noisy coffee house.

Dinner @ Rocks Urban Grill & Bar OK Jan 24, 2012

Categories : European | Steaks and Grills | BBQ

Birthday Celebration @ Rocks-Urban Grill+Bar with my best friends,

Could either walk from Marina Bay or Raffles Place MRT station. 10-15mins walk.
it is a very quiet and cosy place to have dinner... only 3-4 tables are occupied, guess the price is not very affordable by common people, they do offer lunch set though.

Twice-Cooked Kurobuta Pork Cutlet (Most worth of trying... thick and juice, serving quite big)

Crusted Black Cod (Really Crusted... and tender inside)

Seafood Risotto (Creamy Risotto, but the risotto is not soft enough, but the seafood ingredients are fresh)

Scottish Salmon (Can try for all fish lover, will be great if there is a mashed potatoes to go along with it)

Did not try the desserts as we are pretty full from the early meal.

They do serve beers and wine with Pizza or finger food to go along with it. Nice place to chill out and watch soccer by the bar area

Late Lunch @ Maison Ikkoku Smile Jan 24, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bars/Lounges | Café

15mins walk from Bugis Mrt to reach Kandahar Street.

a nice quiet street on weekend, but too bad the cafe close a little too early.. or else it will be a nice place for people to chill out and gather with a group of friends. they only serve all day breakfast on weekends, and sandwiches are only available one weekdays. =(

ordered the Break of Dawn (Love love love this set of breakfast! Changed the Crispy Bacon to shredded ham is a good choice! Huge serving! Love love love the peanut butter dressing on the side salad!) Must Try dish!!!

Eggs Benedict (For $16.90, I think is a little not worth it compare to my $18.90 Break of Dawn Set)

Red Velvet Cake (Hmm, like the coated cheese, it is comparable to the Food For Thought's ones)

we ordered only one Cappuccino (♥) but the service crew surprise us by offering another beverage on the house! thanks!

Cafe Latte (Perfect Glass of coffee to boast your day!) On the house!

love the latte art too!

Dinner @ Arbite Smile Jan 24, 2012
Categories : European | Café

Came across Arbite after my friend and I had our dinner at Serangoon Garden, so we told ourselves we should drop by again soon,

so when we dropped by again the next time, the whole restaurant was fully booked by someone as they are holding birthday party.

so the 3rd time we became smarter, we ring them up first before going over. so this time round we finally get to try it.

Signature Mushroon Soup (@ least four to five different kind of mushroon are used, tasty but a little bit salty for me, and it will be good if they have at least a piece of toast bread to go along with it)

Pork Schnitzel (Deep Fried Crispy Pork Cutlet with Mushroom sauce dressing topped with BlueCheese) really crispy pork cutlet, but some ppl might not like the smell of blue cheese...

Dory Meuniere (Pan Fried Dory with Garlie Topped with Prawns) The dory are very crispy outside and tender inside, prawns are chewy too! Love LOVE LOVE their Mashed potatoes

will definitely be back for more! price consider reasonable to the quality of food.

Breakfast @ Wild Honey Smile Jan 24, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western Variety | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Brunch

After a long wait for H&M launch of Versace X H&M, decided to walk across the street to Mandarin Gallery and have a hearty breakfast at Wild Honey.

went in at around 11am, the restaurant was almost fully occupied.

Canadian Breakfast set - comes with 3 fluffy/thick pancake with slices of bacon and comes with maple sauce and berries jams, 3 pieces of pancake is a little bit too much to finish by one person. personally find it expensive to pay for this dish as i overall find it so so though.

English Breakfast set - 2 piece of toast bread with sausage, scramble eggs, big beans, tomatoes, sauteed mushroom, slice bacon and stir-fried potatoes cubes. for the amount i paid, i think this is way more worth it than the Canadian Breakfast Set.

it is a very cosy restaurant... low dim light. like the concept of using homely furniture although this might take up more space and in so there are limited seats..
Delicious!
