heavy lunch OK May 31, 2012

Categories : Pasta | Halal

The two of us head down to pizza hut to have our lunch. lolWe ordered a spaghetti for me and my friend the personal pan pizza. tongueI ordered the classic spaghetti - Seafood vangole! It's supposely a healthier choice and its only mild spicy! I love to have clams and prawns smile The prawns that day was very fresh and the clams were very juicy though i find abit small. While having my spaghetti, i love to add in more cheese powder for that cheesy taste! The seafood combination with spice and cheese totally won me over lol However the service that day was quite slow as there were many people! I was almost halfway through my pasta while my friend have not gotten hers. Finally the pizza came! She loves the pizza for its plentiful cheese, hers is the mushroom personal pan smile I definitely would recommend pizza hut still being one of my best choice for pizza but best to avoid lunch and dinner crowd!

Salty fries OK May 29, 2012

Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

I bought fries from Northpoint McDonald's on my way home since i wasn't feeling too hungry for a full meal. However i was a tad disappointed that day sad Firstly the crowd that i know can't be controlled since its dinner time. Next i find that now the queues are very confusing at McDonald's. Each counter seems to have 2 queues with the original queue and the other being the people whom have ordered and waiting for their food. It makes the place even crowded and usually i would stand behind and have to squeeze my way to collect my food. huffy Anyway the fries were still crispy when i bought it home, which i have to give that a thumbs up lol However the fries were too salty! I can see the salt particles when i took photos of it! shocked Sometimes i think in their hurry i'm not sure if they remembered putting salt over over putting sad My fries had so many salt and i have to pat my fries on the paper bag before eating to cut down the salt intake. I hope they can improve on their service and food QC!

Tea break with rochor taohuey! OK May 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean | Multi-Concept | Desserts and Cakes

I went with ming my friend to play pool at Pomo's which is quite cheap. After that i drag her to the nearby Rochor Beancurd which i ever visited once with a friend for supper. I think it was around 4 plus at that time so wan't much people. Since we're at Rochor Beancurd, we must try the tao huey!!! tongue Ming got a hot one while i chose the cold one for this scorching weather smile I think the difference is only $0.10 with the cold one being slight more expensive. However i think mine's ok but not super nice like how i remembered. I suspect the cold one could be yesterday's tao huey kept in the fridge?! Mine's not as flavourful and sweet as ming's fresh tao huey sad Her's was warm and soft. Mine's just not as nice as hers but i welcome the coldness anyway since i'm hot!!! Would recommend to drop by to have Beancurd if you're near the area!

chicken cutlet!

chicken cutlet!

It was an after work gathering with my two besties. We went to Astons at Dhoby Ghaut The Cathay to have our dinner! I love Astons for its big portion and value for money prices. They started the trend of having one main dish and two sides to go along with. Many places now are copying their style. For Astons, you must go early to queue. Any later and you'll have to wait quite awhile. We got there close to 7pm and there's already a queue sad We waited like 20mins plus to get seated! huffy However the plus point is that the staff will take your order first when you're close to being seated. I think it save us some time of waiting for the food to be served tongue That day i had the chicken cutlet with veggie and potato salad smile I love the potato salad there, it's moist and not too sour or dry like they served in some places. However since its quite a big portion, i couldn't really finish the chicken cutlet towards the end. Turn out i scrap off the skin before being able to finish. I think it could be too greasy and dry at that point. I would say to have the grilled chicken next time, it may not be too oily and dry.

Dinner at Wendy's OK Apr 12, 2012
Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

My friend decided to have Wendy's for dinner as she had never ate there before.
While deciding on what to have for dinner, i saw that they were having this promotion for Ultimate chicken combo for 2 @ $12 lol
I told my friend about this and she agreed to try this.
We decided to upsize the meal too for a larger drinks as we plan to chill there for a while.
The meal typically includes a chicken burger, fries and a drink.
I find the chicken a tad too hard but my friend said hers was juicy shocked
Maybe it's a different part that we got sad
I like the fries there, claim to have natural sea salt? Hmm
Both of us had fanta grape which is a plus point as some other fastfood does not have that or you'll have to add money to have that.
I think we'll be back to try other things like the bacon burger meal that my friend saw on the menu. smile
