Pork chop OK Mar 04, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre | BBQ

The pork chop was nicely grilled in appearance but slightly tough. The garlic sauce on the pork chop was really delicious, and blended well with the meat, but the sauce was too little for the rather big piece of meat. The fries were average. The whole set cost $5.50 which i thought was slightly expensive as the stall was located at hawker centre.

First time i saw this dish in a claypot rice stall and hence decided to try it. The portion was quite big, came with quite a few slices of chicken which were quite fresh and lean, chili and peanuts, the sauce was quite flavourful, went well with the rice, but i realised the rice at the sides were badly burnt, and hence i did not finish everything, overall i think this is only average.

Quite disappointed with the steak cheese sub as the beef pieces were in cubes instead of slices and were slightly hard, not freshly cooked i guess and they didnt really blend into the melted cheese. The oatmeal raisin cookie was good though, there were lots of oats in the cookie, though it wasnt crispy, it still tasted fresh and tasty.

Cabbage and pork bun OK Feb 19, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Dim Sum

Was looking for a light dinner and decided on this new stall that i guess was only set up a month or 2 ago. I chose the cabbage and pork bun and onion pancake, from the rather huge variety available. The cabbage and pork bun was not bad, the pork was quite fresh and tasty. However, the onion pancake was quite a disappointment, it was really hard and quite bland. Both of these cost $1.20 each, which i found it quite expensive.

Ice-cream milk tea OK Feb 02, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk | Juices

Ordered the ice-cream milk tea, thinking that it was something interesting.. but i was disappointed. It merely was milk tea with pearls with one scoop of vanilla ice-cream. It cost $3.30, which i felt was expensive, considering it was just an additional scoop of ice-cream. The ice-cream just kept melting and got mixed into the milk tea as i drank, in the end, the tea tasted more like milk shake.
