Food on claypot OK Jul 02, 2013
Categories : Porridge/Congee

Try the double fish steamboat at this shop. The taste was not nice .Fish was not really fresh. And the soup get cold easily and when it was cold the whole soup become very sweet. Nothing special can get almost anywhere in other coffee shop.

The claypot chicken porridge at least was much better than the fish steamboat. The porridge has generous ingredients inside including peanuts and the porridge was still hot after some time and it can be share among 2 as small bowls were avaliable to distribute the porridge.

Overall pricing more expensive than coffee shop including the service charge and gst. Will only go for their porridge next time .

Categories : Dim Sum

Went to this place at the basement for our dinner . It was quite crowded and had to queue in order to get a seat. We order the famous xiao long bao that come in 10 pcs and noodles soup with dumpling. When we bit into the xiao long bao soup come flowing out with the ingredients be careful when u eat it hot but it is best to eat it hot also. The noodles were springy as well with the dumpling. The soup base was quite flavourful as well. Overall a nice place to eat but too expensive for my budget.

Went to this place to eat for christmas eve as we intend to catch a movie after the dinner and did not want to go to the crowded place like orchard. As soon as we sit down we were offer a menu and to tick the food we intend to order on a piece of paper. We ordered the mushroom grilled chicken with Spaghetti and the sweet sour chicken with rice. And add a topping set meal with soup, lemon tea and garlic bread. Both orders come with a generous amount of salad vegetables. we also order a waffle with vanilla and raspberry ice cream. The main dish come with quite a big portion and i was quite full. The taste itself (both main) was ok not really declious nor really awful. The price itself was quite reasonable for that portion. The waffle was nicely decorated with raspberry sprinkle like an art piece, taste for the ice cream was so so only but the waffle itself was not too bad freshly baked and crispy on the border part .

Went to the hawker center there there to have my dinner decided to try the western food there. The stall was located inside a corner it was not very easy to notice and there was no crowd around. We decided to order herb grilled fish which i choose the mac and cheese and potato wedges as my sides. My friend order the lemon chicken with tasty rice and baked potato as the sides. We were then given an electronic device which will ring when our food is ready. the food finally arrived and we were happy that this is really value for money as the portion is reasonable and tasty too for that amount of price which cost us less than 8 dollars for one plate each.

Decided to went there after see the channel 8 buffet buffet shows as i and my bf were looking for a buffet within our budget and it was recommended by the tv programme so i don think it will not be too bad. 1st of all the venue were not so accessible as we do not drive we have to walk quite a distance before reaching the place . We were immediately greet by the Peranakan style decoration. The place itself was not crowded so it was easy for us to take photos. We were served by a friendly staff and given a menu to order. We order the mini Spring Rolls, sliced fish with chilli, seafood with egg salad, kangkong with chilli and served it with rice . All these dishes were nice but nothing special about it especially the kangkong taste like what you can get in the zu chao hawaker centre. And our 2nd order we order this Gado Gado to our suprise it was really good it taste of rojak with plently of peanut on top . It was really nice we has the impluse to order a 2nd serving but the portion was quite big and we were quite full so we decided not to waste food if we cannnot finish it. We enjoy our meal and the staff were really friendly will visit there again of have the chance.
