Nando's! Smile Apr 17, 2012
Categories : Portuguese | Steaks and Grills

My friends and I decided to try out Nando's famous grilled chicken after hearing so many good reviews about it. We arrived at the place at dinner's time and the restaurant was already crowded with many hungry diners. The good thing about the restaurant is that it is located right beside the biggest ice skating rink in the mall and we can get a good view of the ice hockey match while enjoying our dinner smile

However, one thing disappointing about the service as we waited for quite a while to be served as there was only one waitress taking orders at our seating area that day.

We ordered the 1/4 Chicken and Chicken Pita to share and was allowed to choose a few sidelines to accompany the main course. There was a list of sidelines in the menu to choose from and everything sounds so delicious! Hence we decided to get the Mediterranean Rice, Spiced Rice, Corn as well as the Peri-Peri chips. In addition, we were also allowed to choose the flavor of the chicken based on the 4 levels of spiciness; Lemon and Herb, Mild Peri-Peri, Hot Peri-Peri as well as the Extra Hot Peri-Peri.

The serving of the food were so generous! The grilled chicken taste absolutely fantastic! The Mild Peri-Peri taste blends well into the chicken and it was not spicy at all! On the other hand the Lemon and Herb one tasted a little sour but overall it was nice too! As for the sides, the Mediterranean Rice was delicious as compared to the Spiced Rice which had a funny taste. Surprisingly the Peri-Peri chips were french fries top with the Peri-Peri powder instead of "potato chips" that we first interpreted from the name on the menu. Nonetheless, the chips were just as nice and Peri-Peri powder adds on well to the taste of the french fries. Customers are also allowed to request for additional Peri-Peri powder in case you didn't get enough of the awesome taste smile

Overall the food here were really delicious and really worth the price! This is really a must-try food for many out there smile

Dinner at Shin Kushiya OK Apr 14, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Had dinner at this Shin Kushiya outlet. The food here were a rather pricey but there were quite a number of different choices of food available.

I was surprised that they actually offered pasta at a Japanese restaurant. Hence I decided to order their Mentaiko Pasta to try. However it was quite a disappointment and the sauce of the pasta was rather salty.

Chawanmushi and Sashimi are my all-time favorite food and I would be sure to order them whenever I visit any Japanese restaurants. The chawanmushi was smooth and the restaurant was generous to top the chawanmushi with a big and fresh prawn smile

The sashimi were fresh too! However it was a little overpriced as the serving given was rather small.

I ended off my dinner with this Umeshu Tiramisu. The tiramisu was not so sweet, however the overall taste was average only. Probably because I had tried better tiramisu elsewhere and hence I have higher expectations for it.

Tea Break at Starbucks Smile Apr 14, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Coffee

Starbucks cafe has always been a pleasant place to hang out especially for small meet ups with friends and also an ideal place to chill on a hot and lazy afternoon.

Ordered this White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino together with the Fudgey Chocolate Cake. The White Chocolate Mocha Frappe was really delicious! The way they blend the cocoa and coffee together was really awesome. The coffee taste was not so strong and the drink was not so sweet either. I personally love the sweetened whipped cream at the top of the drink that melts in the mouth even though too much of it is rather fattening smile

There weren't much choices for cakes at Starbucks, instead there were more of pastries and muffins. The Fudgey Chocolate Cake was not so sweet, however it has an average taste only. Maybe it's because the one that I ordered that day was a little hard and I have higher expectations for the taste of the cake.

Pearly Soyamilk Smile Apr 11, 2012
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

Ordered this cup of cold Pearly Soyamilk to quench my thirst after a long and tiring day in school. The soyamilk taste really awesome; with the richness in the soya bean taste and the chewy pearls.

For people who don't take sweet stuffs, you are also allowed to specify the sugar level that you are most comfortable with. However even though I forgot to request for less sugar when I ordered my drink, the sugar level added in my drink was appropriate and not so sweet.

Labelled as the healthier choice food, Mr Bean's drinks are definitely worth trying and healthier than any other bubble tea sold outside smile

Ice cream on a hot afternoon Smile Apr 11, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk

Nothing beats having a cooling cone of ice cream on a hot and sunny afternoon. Ordered this original soya ice cream and it was really delicious smile

Mr Bean's ice cream had always been a sinful treat. It was labelled as the healthier choice food but at the same time taste really really nice smile The ice cream was creamy and rich in taste, however it was not so sweet. The cone at the bottom was as delicious too! Even without the accompanying ice cream, it still have a little sweet taste in it.
