Mee Pok~~~U can't see any veggie here cos my hubby is not a veggie loversad
Great! only $3.00 (upsize)

Great! only $3.00 (upsize)

My hubby has been eating their Mee Pok or Mee and Kuey Teow Soup everyday without fail unless he is not in town or the stall is closed.shocked

Their dry Mee Pok come with their special sambal chilli, fish ball, fish cake and char siew. (Yes. is Char Siew.....seldom see Mee Pok comes with Char Siew) Besides, their taste is not like other traditional as put so much vinegar (because he don't like vinegar smell).

The noodles texture is very Q and the boss is quite generous to give more bean sprout, veggie and their special sambal chilli when you ask for it.(but don't too much...hahaha)

But, you need to be patient to wait on weekend because it was extremely longggggg queue and normally they closed on Friday....

We had our late nite supper at Eminent Frog Porridge & Seafood quite some time ago.
They has expended to the shop beside their coffee shop.Normally quite hard to find a table during peak hour weekend.

Their Claypot frog and fried frog are very delicious and buy 2 get 1 free and there is quite a lot of variety of cook method that you can choose. Besides, they also have other "zhi char" Chinese type dishes and serves canned drink and coconut drink. There is another good place for family dine-in.

We ordered Claypot porridge, fried frog and Kung Pao claypot frog.

Dessert time~~~Bitter Time Cry Mar 05, 2012

Categories : Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

After having a meal, we walked down to Liang Seah Street to have dessert at Ah Chew Dessert. Once we arrived, there was very crowded. and we had been arranging to seat outside of the shop.

The menu was put under the glass of the table and we may decide before taking an order. We ordered Herbal Jelly, Aloevera Strawberry, Yam with Sago, and mix fruit ice-cream.

For me, their dessert is not so special and a bit over-priced. We can't enjoy our dessert at all because once we ordered and having the dessert, a waiter was standing beside us always asking in Chinese:"have you finished?" I know there is a queue of peoples there waiting for table, but they shouldn't standing beside the table and keep chasing the customer who having the dessert there. Moreover, we heard some of the waiter just shouted the customer to ask them queue "properly". There is not a clear sign there to let customer queue and how the customer know where to queue especially for the first time customer.

We felt very stressed to having this "bitter" dessert.sad

Friends Gathering at V8  OK Mar 05, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery | Café

We are 5 gals having a gathering and gals talk at V8 cafe. Luckily we had made a reservation earlier, otherwise there was very crowded.

We have ordered V8 Signature Dish, Sambal salmon with rice, Seafood spaghetti, Fish and Chips, Forest of Mauritius, Pizza and one side dish-calamari.

The Signature dish is grilled chicken with their special sauce. All the western foods chosen have come with 2 side dish- we choose Onion Ring and Potato Wedges, The sambal rice was come with a Tom Yam soup. Most of the food standard were overall at average standard. But the Tom Yam soup taste was a bit weird for us. There is not typical taste as compared to other. Their potions of main dish is quite big and we "tried dying" to finish all the food.

I'd recommend must have the Forest of Mauritius first once served, otherwise the soft shell crab is a bit fishy if it been cold,

Their service is quite nice but I think should increase manpower during peak hour, because we have to wait a while for ordering food.

Right now, they have 15% for Safra member and 10% for BOC credit card holder.

We went to Mad for Garlic for late-lunch on a weekend.
There is no so crowded.
The atmosphere here quite unique, hanging alot of garlics there...
We ordered garlic snowing pizza, Red Devil, Caesar Salad and Tiramisu cake as our dessert.

The garlic snowing pizza is quite nice and delicious and the tiramisu cake's design come with their garlic logo....

A bit disappointed for the red devil, this dish is not so spicy and quite watery for me..

Overall, their service is quite ok....
