Nice Deli OK Jul 11, 2012

Reservoir Road Blk 630 hawker center does serve up one of the best salted buns

I’ve ever eaten. Their dough, utterly porous and spongy, springing back to its original shape despite sinking a big bite into its savory interiors. Best thing

of all, it doesn’t leave oil stains on the white paper bags it resides in. The

butterflies of course are of the same standard, a generous sprinkling of white

sesame seeds enhancing its flavor.

Icing Room OK Jul 11, 2012

i was surprised tt icing room selling muffin,
The soft and moist muffins have been talked about to death already, and I have nothing to add other than that they sometimes give me an uncomfortable sugar rush. The (Valrhona) chocolate is lush. This treat is definitely worth the wait! Muffins that is soft and fluffy and not too sweet. The only problem will be choosing which flavors u want from the wide selection!

The brownies are also a must-try! Chocolate cravings will be satisfied!

Bought the cheese cakes as Christmas presents last year and received some really good compliments about it too.

Prata is wonderful OK Jul 11, 2012
Categories : Indian | Restaurant | Curries | Halal

There’s absolutely no joy in eating thin pratas that are limp. For this kind of lousy pratas that taste flat as well, curry gravy is the only solution to make them marginally more palatable.

However, at Prata wala, I ate my egg prata ($1.80), well, nice! That’s the way I usually eat eggpratas, provided they’re good. Without the interference of fish curry, I was able to fully enjoy the fluffy, crispy and flaky layers that were the result of folding the dough over several times. Also, I just loved the taste of freshly-made dough, which had a hint of sweetness to it.

The Palace Korean Restaurant OK Jul 05, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Korean | BBQ

My colleague recalled a Korean restaurant at the basement of Chevron House which was "always crowded". Being the "queue-conscious" Singaporeans we were, we left our office at the indecently hour of 12pm to get seats at the restaurant. Erm.. we were one of the first people there with plenty of tables to choose from.

I wish the ventilation of the restaurant was better, because the food was authentic hearty Korean fare. My Seafood stew (Bean Paste/Tofu Soup) set came with a bowl of rice and two sides - kimchi and this noodle/rice cake thing. Pretty satisfying at $11.

Lovely Chicken rice at bishan OK Jul 05, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hainanese | Coffeeshop | Chicken Rice

I had heard that this chicken rice store in the coffeeshop just across the field from Junction 8 wasn't too bad
What I love best is the large bowl of chicken feet with groundnut soup. The steamed white chicken is fresh and tender and served with crispy beansprouts. The chicken feet with groundnut soup which is sweet and savory, certainly helps to quench one's thirst at the end of the sumptuous meal.
