Nice Siew Mai Smile Jul 15, 2012
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

The siew mai was great - just the right thickness and chewiness. this was a take-away treat from my colleagues. it is great. I would say the price is slightly above average for coffee shop fare. one siew mai for 0.90cents. it is expensive for such sizes..Their famous Meat Pau ($1.80 each) and dumpling ($2.80) are quite good.

However, it's quite pricey. the meat is juicy and tender as well.

nice pizza Smile Jul 15, 2012

Categories : Pasta | Halal

When we arrived (around 7.40pm), there were about 5-6 people queuing ahead of us (though actually they took up only 3 tables since they were in pairs or trios). Waited for about at least 20 mins before the staff could find us a table and led us in. (I must say that the queue was unncessary since there were a few unoccupied and empty tables with a number of uncleared tables and the service was extremely slow and felt that it was overly understaffed). Throughout our dinning, we realized the service was way below acceptable level.

The ambience was ok, brightly lighted with creative pictures hanged on the wall.

we tried the new 7 cheesy pizza, it is fine. not bad

Chendol Ice-blended Smile Jul 15, 2012

Service - inconsistent. If you attract the attention of the right person, you get nice pleasant service; get the wrong one, heh heh.. try shouting and waving madly. Found one that was like in her own world on holiday mood. the only stuff i like is the chendol drink. it is made up from gula melaka. it is not too sweet as it is ice-blended. Overall, the foods there is nothing special.

Best Buffet in Town Smile Jul 15, 2012

I would recommend this to anyone for the following reasons:

as this is my 3rd time going to this atas international buffet restaurant.
1. Good spread;2. Creative sushi, a lot I havent seen before;3. Fresh sashimi, cut when you order;4. Snow crabs, chilli crabs, a few types of shell fish are in the spread - good value for money;5. Large space, ample sitting areas;6. Buffet that comes with cappucino, espresso, green tea, milo, etc.7. Creme Brulee is quite good.

most of all i love their macaroon. they change their menu every time.

Nice Beef La Mian Smile Jul 13, 2012

My favorite is the stewed beef la mian. For only $3.80, you get a bowl of delicious la mian with generous chunks of stewed beef. All beef lovers will be delighted to know that the chunks of beef are not only VERY HUGE but tasty, tender and well-marinated. The flavorful gravy is extremely complementary to the homemade noodles which are smooth and delicate.

I strongly recommend Zi Yean's stewed beef la mian for lunch. One day I shall try its famous tze char and blog about it too. Stay tuned.
