Tasty BBQ! Smile Mar 15, 2011

Time for DIY BBQ-ing at Seoul Garden and splashing of oil droplets onto my hand again! tongue Their outlet at Northpoint is quite small but still had everything in place. Glad that they had changed their pricing strategy to include free-flow of drinks (including coffee, tea and milo)!

They have various food sections: non-cooked food, drinks, fried food, cook your own noodles and dessert (ice-cream, ice kachang, fruit, cakes). Their char siew and garlic chicken are my favourites! They even have coffee chicken!

Over to their cooked food section, there's spring rolls, prawn crackers, black pepper chicken, fish and fried rice. Love the fried rice best! Their ginseng chicken noodles, however, was not to my liking. The soup tasted bland, too much water instead of chicken flavour.

Lastly for desserts, I like to eat the chocolate brownie with warm drinks/ice-cream. Sweeeeeet!

Soft cakes OK Mar 14, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery | Kids-Friendly

They offer two types of chiffon cakes: one with filling inside (few flavours) and the other without. Ordered the Coffee Walnut and Triple Chocolate flavours, both without filling inside and cost $1.70 each.

The texture of the chiffon cakes is very soft, similar to pandan cakes. Both cakes did not have very strong flavours and I feel that with such a small serving size sold at this price, it is not really worth it. Perhaps for the next time, I will try other types of chiffon cakes with fillings.

Great Indian food Smile Mar 14, 2011

Some people, such as my friends and I may refrain from ordering from this stall as they do not know the type of food that were sold. Some food looked alike; bearing the colour of curry. Nonetheless, I did order their prata and found that their other dishes, though looked the same, had their own unique taste.

During the recent visit, I ordered their briyani with mutton and spicy tau pok, topped off with a plain prata. Their briyani was not too dry and not too moist, very fragrant rice indeed! I’m looking forward to try other dishes from their stall, especially since they had done very well with their meat and toufu dishes.

Sweet yogurt Smile Mar 14, 2011

Yami Yogurt offers fruity yogurt bases with fruit and nut toppings. They would alternate their yogurt flavours regularly so that customers won't feel bored with trying the same flavours all the time and also would look forward to their favourite flavours during their future visits.

I ordered the honeydew yogurt with cranberries. The yogurt was sweet and so were the cranberries. It's better to pair the yogurt with their variety of nut toppings, so that the sweetness won't be too overpowering. A great way to end off a meal!

Fish Porridge OK Mar 09, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Porridge/Congee | Noodles

Ordered fish porridge from this stall. The porridge has an appropriate consistency, not too thick and not too watery. The fish slices are soft, so they are easy to bite and chew, and it ups the joy of eating this dish. More spring onions could be added to make the porridge tastier. A simple bowl of porridge can fill the tummy and definitely warm the heart.
