Well known for their Nasi Lemak even during my NS time, this stall have been standing firm with all loyal customer queuing up for their Nasi Lemak.

But do note that this is not a high class restaurant but a hawker center so do not have too much high expectation for the very clean tables. You will have to find a seat over there as there will mostly be a lot of people trying to find tables and seat to have dinner over there too.

Even though there are many people queuing up to get their fix for Nasi Lemak, the stall holders are quite friendly with the customer and quite fast in packing the food so the queue will move faster.

In terms of food wise, they provide main dish of Nasi Lemak (Which they give big portion if you are taking away) but my comment is that the Nasi Lemak rice from them is not the best but still not as bad to eat.

For side dishes, they provide a lot of food to choose from:Basically, their chicken wings ($1.20 per piece) are the most famous and popular dish as everyone seems to purchase at least one and they are always cooking those chicken wings so people are always able to get freshly cooked fried chicken wings.

Not sure how they prepared the chicken wings but for some reason, these chicken wings are very crispy even when they are cooled down and the taste is still as nice (Ofcourse eat when it is hot is the best).Another dish which you might wish to try is their Otak. It is not over cooked and the taste is nice with some bits of fish meat in it. A nice dish to have with Nasi Lemak.

Just another day for a fine dinner and my friends and I set our eyes on a Mexican restaurant located in Holland Village (or short form: Holland V). There is another Mexican restaurant right next to this one but the lighting actually attract us to choose it instead of the later.

There are more people in this place and the ambience is great for a dinner cum gathering. We are lucky as there are tables for us as soon as we inform the waitress about it since there are quite a few customers having their dinner there too.

The waitress are very friendly but guess there are too many customer at their restaurants that they tried their best to take care of bring new customers in and serving the first drinks or taking orders (It is very difficult to get them to fill up your water or take order as they are always busy walking or doing something)When you are first seated at the table, you will be given a free nachos with their salsa (Think it is homemade). The nachos are very crunchy and it taste better if eat together with the salsa sauce. The only thing is not sure if we can ask for refill for this one (We are too full to ask for refill anyway)The wings are very crispy and nice as the restaurant have marinated the wings before cooking it. (I think this is using air frying as outter skin and meat are more dry) These wings comes with their speciality sauce which I think do not need it as it is already very nice to eat as a meal or finger food without the sauce itself.The chicken meat within the wrap are very tender and it have been marinated with their special herbs and served with some Mexican sauce which makes the taste strong though I would prefer their Lamb series (Maybe due to I like Lamb meat) as the taste is much more better than chicken meat. They used Flour tortilla to wrap the chicken meat together with ingredients like Mexican rice, Cheddar Cheese, Capsicum, onion and some other spices mixed together.Instead of using Flour, they used corn tortillas to wrap the food. Lamb are being nicely marinated till fully tender meat and exploded with mixture of different spices. Very nice dish though I do not really like one of their side dish which have mixture of nuts and mashed potato.

This is one of the better Mexican dish I have eaten so far but be careful while eating as the corn tortillas are wet and you need to eat slowly as not to drip the sauce onto your clothes.This one the most simple, clean and easy to eat dish of all. Nicely marinated Lamb meat are being added on top of some lettuce sitting on taco (We ordered soft Tacos but I would like to try out the hard one one of the days)

The lamb meat in this dish is a bit harder than Lamb Enchiladas due to the different way it is being cooked but overall, this is a nice dish to try out and it will not make you too full. Great dish for females who like simple easy to eat food. (Able to choose other meat like fish, chicken, shrimp or steak)

Jumbo Seafood have been popular with their chili crab and some of the dishes and as recommended by some friends, we went to this place for our dinner.
The Jumbo Seafood at Dempsey is a nice place with spacious seat so the staff or customers are able to walk easily without knocking on the chairs.
As for the staff, they are friendly and knows how to recommend you dishes if you are unable to decide what to have for your meals.This is a must try dish recommended by me as one thing for sure, scallops are very freshly done while the Yam Ring are very crispy on the outside while very smooth within and most important thing is that it does not dry your throat after eating it (Some Yam are very dry to your throat if it is not prepared well)These chicken are being roasted till the skin are very crispy and they actually mixed the meat into some paste before deep frying it. Nice dish to have as it is very crispy and you are not actually eating the chicken meat. Good dish for any age.Pork Knuckles are being deep fried till very crispy on the outter layer while the fresh meat are very juicy without losing any of its nice taste. On top of it, the chef put some fried garlic, chili and veg to enhance the overall taste of this dish.This is their famous chili crab but for my point of view, it is just ok for me as if I am not wrong, the taste is being changed to suit the taste bud of most Singaporean and another reason being I am not really into chili crab. nevertheless, the sauce of the chili crab is very good to be eaten with the small fried buns.This is more on the wet version of the egg yolk crab and for me, I do not really taste the egg yolk for this dish. The bean curd are mixed together with some seaweed before deep frying it and pouring a mixture of mushroom sauce onto it. The overall taste for this dish is very soft on the inside while the skin part of the bean curd are a little bit of crispy feeling.

We decided to go for our dinner at this French restaurant which name is strangely called The French Stall. Guess it is started out as a stall to a restaurant as of now and rename it as TFS Bistrot.
This restaurant was located nicely at the corner of a junction between Serangoon and Sturdee Road and it would be nice place to relax and chat up at one corner during the night time (Depending on the road condition at Serangoon Road).

We ordered their 3 Course Formule meal (1 starter, 1 main dish, 1 dessert) @ $25.80 as follow:Starter 01: Soup of the Day
Presentation is very well taken care of in this restaurant and the soup of the day is actually tomato soup which is a bit sour taste from the tomato but not too over powering to your taste bud. Add in some black pepper to enhance the overall taste would be great.Starter 02: Chicken Liver Pate (Pâté de foie gras)
Guess you hear before foie gras which means Fatty Liver, instead of having the expensive type of Goose Liver, this is the chicken version.
Very very strong taste and it the chef added some pickles and bread for you to eat together as to lighten the strong liver taste of the foie gras.Main Dish 01: Tagliatelle with Mushroom Sauce and Parmesan Shavings
Also another creamy type of pasta which if you are into creamy type of dish, this is one for you. The taste is nice but remember to eat it while it is hot else the taste would not be so nice.Main Dish 02: Pan Fried Dory Fillet with Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Butter
Though the presentation of this dish is very good, all of us think that the portion of this is too small and will not fill your stomach. Nevertheless, the dish is a very nicely done while Dory fillet is very fresh and seemly melts in your mouth. Mashed Potatoes is also nicely done without the powdery feel and will not make your throat dry.Main Dish 03: Grilled and Marinated Chicken Leg with BBQ Sauce, Sautée Potato
Both presentation and the dish itself is one of the best I have eaten so far. The Chicken meat is very tender and when eaten together with the sauce, the combination is perfect. Though the portion is too a bit too small. Potato are nicely cooked with added herbs which I think even if you do not add in any chili, you will be able to taste the nice natural taste of potato yet some nice herbs taste.Dessert: Traditional Créme Caramel
You can choose ice-cream and Sherbet as your dessert too but those are too normal so I do not take photos of them. The Créme Caramel are nice to go with but in terms of comparing the 3 desserts, I would choose Sherbet (lime one is nice as it is a bit sour yet nicely sweet taste).

This restaurant decoration have some nice design which makes you feeling comfortable while eating at the restaurant. The space between tables are nicely spread out and you get to sit at the sofa seats if there is any available.If you have a group of 4 and all of them loves to eat burger, you can try this Giant Chicken Yankee Burger. It is a very big burger bigger than my hand. Beside the giant burger are all the fries you can eat till you drop. For this chicken burger version, the chicken meat is being deep fried (sinful) hammered (for the tender) and I think there are 2 to 4 pieces of chicken meat added up together in the burger. Taste wise, it is about the same as any burger you have eaten out there in other fast food while the only special point is that this is a giant version of it.The fish and chips itself have been deep fried till the outer layer is crispy while inside is very tender and soft. To me, it feels a bit too oily for my likely though but for some others, it maybe a good dish for their meal.The Chicken chop is quite different as there are some Teriyaki sauce on the nicely grilled chicken chop. One thing good about their chicken chop is that they grilled it till very tender and juicy on the inside while the special sauce really mixed well with the meat. It is being served together with their wedges and garden salad.For finger food, the mushroom are being deep fried but when you tried to have a first bite, the nature juicy water of the mushroom will fill your mouth with the nice freshness. Great finger food while chatting up with friends.If you are those who loves spring chicken, this one one oven-roasted spring chicken you should order. The chef uses some herbs to apply to the spring chicken before sending it into the oven and roast it till ready.
