Yong Tau Foo Soup OK Dec 19, 2013

Categories : Food Court

For 7 pieces at $4.90, this Yong Tau Foo Stall really offer quite expensive food. Fortunately the standard of their foods was not too bad. Especially like their cut bitter gourd with fish paste which the fish paste is very fresh and chewy. The tau kee rolls are alright but not really that fragrant. The thick slice egg plants are soft and sweet. The soup base is filled with the soy bean fragrant but was abit too salty. Service was fast and friendly and the stall is clean and neat.

Was wanting to grab a fast dinner around Bugis area and saw this restaurant was totally not crowded and decided to try it. Restaurant environment was quite cosy and comfortable. Service was warm and friendly too. Have ordered their signature dried prawn noodles which priced at $6.90per serving. Serving was quite alright and noodles are very chewy. Especially enjoyed having the large prawns which are very fresh and crunchy. The chilli sauce used to mix the noodles are also very flavourful and spicy, yummy!

Mee Robus OK Dec 19, 2013

Had my lunch in this Punggol Nasi Padang outlet at Far East Plaza. Have bought a plate of mee robus to try. Priced at $4.00 was descently priced but the portion was abit too little. The peanut gravy was quite thin and tasteless. The noodles was cooked till the right texture and not too soggy but not much beansprouts can be found in this dish. Even the cut green chillis are also unable to bring out the fragrant to this dish. Restaurant is cooling and not too squeezy and the service was friendly.

Minced Pork Rice Rolls OK Dec 19, 2013

Sheng Kee Dessert always has a very wide range of desserts to choose from. However for me I prefer to have their minced pork rice rolls ($3.60) over their signature desserts. The rice rolls are very smooth and thin in texture. With the juicy minced pork meat which is cooked with dark sweet sauce that make it very flavourful and delicious. The combination was good and portion was quite alright as well. Service was fast but not really that friendly. Restaurant was quite squeezy and uncomfortable.

Pork Ginger Rice set Smile Dec 19, 2013

Other than the ramen here which is always taste great, I also enjoy having their pork ginger rice set. At merely $11.50 per set, I get to enjoy a generous portion of sliced juicy pork meat cook with lots of sliced onions and ginger which is super fragrant. Moreover, the crunchy spinach and the hot tasty miso soup make the meal very complete and satisfying. Restaurant is quite cooling and comfortable. Service here is also fast and friendly.
