Indulge Patisserie Smile Apr 18, 2012
Categories : Bakery | Halal

This is situated near a famous alif Malay restaurant in the hidden spot of bukit gomak. The Oreo Cheesecake Indulge Patisserie was on the creamy side. It was as though we were eating a cream based cake instead of a typical cheesecake which was rich in cheese taste. However, it had a wonderful thick and smooth texture. For the Oreo Cheesecake, the Oreo crumbs were very well blended within the cream cheese and there was no chance in which one could miss them in any was conveniently replaced with coffee. Cream cheese surrounded the regions of the moist coffee infuse.

I tend to avoid Bak Kut Teh (BKT) especially the Teochew style which is overloaded with pepper and garlic. The only reason is that I get gastric pain. It's strange but so unfortunately true.

Hence, I went to this BKT after seeing many queues, before deciding to try the BKT here and I was thrilled that my delicate stomach didn't protest one bit.

I was very taken with the braised dishes that went so well with rice. It's a hearty meal which I thoroughly enjoyed without having to suffer at the end. The taste is Great and the staffs were polite and efficient.

Supper @ Peperoni Pizzeria Smile Apr 18, 2012

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pasta

To begin, this place wasn't very easy to find and definitely not bus-friendly, so one will be better off driving in or taking a cab. My friend introduces this place. That aside, when we arrived, we were told that they were out of gas and thus, no pastas or cook items except for pizza. The pizza took about 15mins to come and interestingly, they placed a cup of crayons for you to doodle on their paper laid table. We ordered half of Parma ham with rocket salad and another half or the cheesy hotdog. Instead of pathetic few bits and pieces of ham that you'll be given somewhere else, Peperoni was generous and had many slices of ham eventually spread on the pizza.

Spending per head: Approximately $40+

Killiney Kopitiam (Roti & Kopi) Smile Apr 18, 2012

I always seize the opportunity to have coffee, tea and kaya-butter toast at Killiney Kopitiam which nearby my GF working place. As it happened, we were passing by this crowded place. It has well-brewed coffee and tea, not to mention traditional bread toast.

The breads come with big generous giving for Kaya and Butter. It fulfills my desire with just one bite. What's more can I ask for? Also their bread is tender on the outside and crunchy on the outside.

Windows of Hong Kong OK Apr 18, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant

During a recent lunch, I decided to try one of their set meals while accompanying my gf as it is located near her office.
Overall, a so-so experience - nothing to shout about but then at this price point - it is an attractive offer in the town area for a simple lunch. I order the chicken shredded with cuttlefish porridge, not very special either.
