Yami Yummy OK Apr 11, 2012
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

This marks the first time I've ever tried Yami Yoghurt. Having had tried Frolick recently, the first thing to note is tt Yami's cheaper than Frolick. I tried the peach flavour for both (I generally like peachy stuff; plus tangerine and honeydew flavours for yoghurt don't exactly turn me on) - Yami's regular cup goes for $2.30, as opposed to Frolick's $3.90. But I suppose part of the price difference goes towards size - for Yami, the regular cup is smaller than the Frolick one, and another part of the price difference goes to marketing - Yami is much more understated than Frolick, after all. No buttons.

Pasta @ bukit timah Cry Apr 11, 2012
Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pasta

We had a craving for pasta on a public holiday, so we headed out to the nearby Pasta Fresca at Bukit Timah for lunch. Being a branch restaurant in the surburbs, we had expected a laid-back version of the boat quay branch.

The restaurant is divided into two sections: an airconditioned area facing the kitchen; an al fresco area. Entering via the main entrance, we were directed to the al fresco area as "the air con area might get hot due to the hot air coming from the kitchen". We were seated next to a large family affair who seemed to be enjoying themselves. After about 5 minutes, we were handed the menu and we selected our dishes. In the meantime, one patron of the restaurant started smoking near the tables outside, and as a result, we were breathing in second-hand smoke. To compound that, we vainly spent 10 minutes trying to get a waiter to take our order, so we left without any food.

You'd do better with the family-run italian restaurant just down the row.

Salad!! Smile Apr 11, 2012

Categories : Salads/ Acai Bowl

Besides salads, they also have yogurt... Not the kind of commercially produced found in the supermarkets with thickeners etc. but natural set yogurt topped with strawberry or blueberry jam and sweetened with natural sweetener (honey) at the bottom. I like it that they serve granola bits in a separate container so that people like me (allergic to gluten) can enjoy the yogurt smile It would be good that the customer can choose how much jam or honey they want added, as it is a little sweet for my liking. But overall, it’s still yummy! The price is reasonable almost the same as yogurt place yogurt! smile Btw, don't forget to do your part and help them recycle the containers!

Liang pan @ let's toss Smile Apr 11, 2012

I've been hearing great reviews of szechuanese liang pan, but never knew quite where to get it in Singapore. So when I heard that the Chongqing Grilled Fish people were exploring this venture, I had to head down to Tiong Bahra plaza, for a taste. Not only was it tasty, it had the required kick (I love spicy!). The meats are fantastic (you get to choose from a variety), and mix it with whatever cold vegetables/salad. I would personally recommend pig's ears, pork belly, lotus roots, goundnuts, potato, the kimch

Still eating my way through the different varieties, and its been an adventure! Since its opening, I have had a tube of selection every alter

dessert story Cry Apr 11, 2012

I am a dessert lover so after reading the review here I decided to go and try it. Went to Dessert Bowl last friday the place was pack and noisy. We waited about 20mins for seat.

My gf order the Durian Mousse with Black Glutinous Rice it was creamy, smooth and nice there is durian flesh inside too. I have a taste of it and I was quite suprise that the combination of the Black Glutinous Rice with Durian Mousse goes very well thumbs up for this. For me I order the Hot almond with White Fungus for this I would say it taste normal.

seriously, for the price, i think i can get better meal.
