Tea Smile Apr 17, 2012

Categories : Food Court

We were in Marina Bay Sands Shoppee, we decided to spend the day shopping there, we saw the directions towards the food courts, so decided to have a look. When we went there, we really liked the Rasapura food court, which is just near the ice rink, has a lot of food stalls & its a neat and cosy place as compared to other food courts. I wanted to hav tea, so I went to the drinks counter and ordered for a tea. It was served to me immediately. It tasted good, sugar level was perfect and it was strong, just like the way I like it.

Humongous buffet Smile Apr 17, 2012

My wife was invited for the ORTU event held by Openrice.com, which was held over the weekend at Plaza Brasserie- Park Royal, Beach road and she could bring a friend along, so I got lucky. I have to say, I was impressed, with the ambience & set up of the restaurant. Once we settled into our chairs, the restaurant Manager took us around to show us the buffet set up & the food they have to offer.

I was shocked to see such a wide spread. There is a Indian counter, Sushi & sashimi counter, Salad bar, Dim sum counter, Shawarma counter, chinese chicken rice and veggies, cakes & chocolate fondue, ice shaved section, ice creams and beverages (coffee, milk tea, Twinings tea bags, milo). It seemed like the buffet layout was unending. The staff served us with a smile and kept clearing our dishes as soon as we were done,so that we could go and help ourselves to more food. Water too was replenished often.

I tried the Prawn curry, Tandoori fish & chicken, Shawarma, Laksa, Sushi, Crispy soft shell crab, satong, Hainanese chicken, dimsums, salads, & the desserts. My personal favourites were the crispy soft shell crab, the fish tandoori, carrot cake, drunken prawns, chocolate fondue with marshmellows/waffles & Iced Mocha.

We ate till we were over full. Finally, we were served with a tasty carrot cake & iced Mocha which has recently been added to the Plaza Brasserie Menu. We enjoyed meeting other foodies who writes reviews on Openrice.com and came back home with Plaza Brasserie's dining vouchers. It was a perfect Saturday afternoon

During my evening tea time, which is a habit for me, I decided to go to my favourite place ' Toast Box'. I ordered for a Milo -hot. I tried Milo at many other places before, but none compare to a Milo from "Toast Box'. Its so perfect, in terms of richness, sweetness, thickness & quality. If you have not tried the Milo at 'Toast Box' , You have definitely missed out on the best Milo in town. You have to try the Milo at ' Toast Box'.

Soupy meal Smile Apr 13, 2012

I was in Vivo city and was in a mood for some hot soup, so i decided to head to the Soup spoon. The Soup Spoon has a wide variety of soups. They offer a good range of soups in their regular menu. So I decided on Clam Chowder soup.

What I like about their soups is that it's filling and overall pretty healthy. Even their regular size bowl satisfies big eaters like me. The soups are a little over priced though.

We were in Clementi mall one evening & wanted a tea snack along with tea. We went to Bread talk. Breadtalk has a wide variety of breads. After walking around and looking around, I picked up a curry Chicken bread. It was a small bun liked stuffed bread with a curry chicken filling, which was tasty, spicy, tangy and yummy. It was a tasty bread indeed. .Breadtalk rocks :-)
