Yesterday on my way to office, I had to go to City link mall, so I decided to stop by The Sandwich shop and pick up a sandwich. I picked up a mixed sandwich (not sure about the actual name on display in the shop). It had letuce, egg & mayo, bacon & sausage. It was a loaded sandwich with too much stuffing & was filling to the core. I really enjoyed the sandwich.

Loved it.

I was at City link Mall, I hurried out of the MRT into the mall to grab a bite, since I was hungry, and the first thing I saw Breadtalk. I went in and looked around and picked up a sunny side up slice. Its a slice of bread, with butter, Ham & a sunny side up egg on it. I am very fond of sunny side up, so I really loved it. The egg yolk was well cooked though & the combination of the ham & egg on the slice was bread was great.

Going healthy with Sub Smile Apr 19, 2012

I was in the mood for a Subway sandwich, so during my lunch time, I walked into a Subway and saw their recent promo's of 5 $ combos. When I reached the counter, I decided on Ham sub, with Parmesan Oregano bread. For greens, I chose lettuce, olives & Jelapanos. Mustard & BBQ sauce was added as well. I chose to have a lemon iced tea. The Ham sub was great, just the way I love my Subs. A normal 6 inch sub is pretty filling. You can also add on a pkt of chips or a cookie for 1 $. Eating a Sub with the right (low cal) sauces is a healthy meal. I think I should visit Subway often, especially with the new 5 $ promos.

I was really thirsty, while I was roaming around Jurong Point, I went to the Kopitiam and decided to buy myself a calamansi juice. It was served with ice, it was nice and sour & perfectly sweet. It was so refreshing & really quenched my thirst. After that, Calamansi juice has become my favourite juice. Yummy all the way.

Japanese cuisine Smile Apr 17, 2012

We had gone to Clementi market, and after shopping,we decided to have some Japanese food, so we decided on Meguni Restaurant as the venue was pretty close to clementi mall. It is just about 4 stops away by bus. We were too impatient to wait for a bus, so we took a cab.

Megumi Restaurant is located at Sunset way in an HDB setup,a longside many other good restaurants. We got off and luckily headed in the right direction. We had to pass by a food court and then spotted Megumi restaurant. It is a beautiful place with a Japanese feel, with a sit-out as well as an indoor seating arrangement. Japanese paintings were all over. A neat & impressive bar at 1 corner. We finally decided to take a table indoors. The staff, wearing maroon outfits, guided us to our table, and they were really warm & friendly. They handed us the menu card & we took a while to go through the menu and finally placed the order.

We ordered for Tofu megumi -age (served with teriyaki sauce), miso soup & crispy soft shell crab for starters, Katsu curry rice (Pork cutlet curry rice),Yaki Meshi (Japanese Fried rice) for main course, lemon iced tea, Japanese tea for beverages & green tea ice cream for dessert. The starters arrived first. we loved both the starters. The soft shell crab was crisp & tasty, the bean curd was great as well & so was the miso soup. Then came the main course, both the rice dishes were great, but i preferred the Yaki meshi more. we enjoyed our food with some Japanese tea & iced lemon tea. Finally the ice cream was served, it was topped with some kidney beans & tasted great. Overall I enjoyed the dining experience at Magumi. I would love to go there, whenever I am in the mood for some Japanese food.
