My girlfriend spotted a chatime when we were shopping at Novena Square and she immediately went to get us a large cup of their Jasmine Green Milk Tea. It was like an oasis in the desert. the weather was so hot, the haze was causing out throats to feel dry and scratchy. the jasmine green milk tea tasted really good. you can taste the fragrance of the green tea. we ordered half sugar so it was not too sweet. the milkiness made the drink very smooth and nice to drink.

My girlfriend and I were walking around causeway point, we decided to head to food republic for dinner. I ordered the thai food from Rama 9. after browsing their selections, I decided on their tom yum soup with omelette and rice. Their tom yum soup is the red kind not the clear kind which means it is not so spicy. The acidity of the soup was just right, it was not too spicy. Somehow it tasted really good that it makes you wanna drink mouth after mouth. The omelette was fried till super thin, kind of puzzled how they managed to get it out of the pan. Nevertheless it was delicious.

I was craving for something hot and spicy so i went to Ajisen with my sister for dinner. I ordered their Tom Yum Pork ramen. their tom yum soup was really good, not too spicy. The acidity level was just right. Their pork was just plainly boiled, not marinated at all but because it was so thinly sliced, it absorbed the tom yum soup pretty quickly. The ramen is very springy and QQ. It was a good meal, totally satisfied my craving.

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Dinner)

Thai-style roasted chicken thigh Smile Jun 23, 2013

I went to Thai Express with my girlfriend for dinner. We ordered mainly dishes to share. I saw they were kind of promoting this dish Gai Op Pattaya so we decided to order it. Gai Op Pattaya is actually Thai-style roasted chicken thigh. The chicken meat is so tender and juicy. the skin is not too oily and did not have a lot of fats. When the chicken is eaten with rice, it tasted really good. I recommend this dish.

Iced Caffe Mocha Smile Jun 23, 2013

During these hot weathers, iced beverages are always so welcoming to me. I went to Starbucks to get myself an Iced Caffe Mocha. I preferred iced beverages to the frappe from Starbucks is because when you drink too fast for the frappe, you well get brain freeze. for those iced beverages, it will not happen. i ordered their mocha is because of the fragrance of the coffee. i like that is has some bitterness to it and so will not be too sweet. Really enjoyed the drink.
