Wonton mee OK Jul 27, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Noodles

This cafe sells the Pontian Wonton mee.
There are a variety of sauce that you to choose from, ranging from non spicy to spicy and is suitable for everyone:
1. Tomato sauce
2. Black sauce
3. Chilli sauce
4. Black sauce plus chilli sauce
It depends whether you like it spicy or not. However, i will strongly recommend the black sauce as i find it very unique. It is not the usual sauce that one can find it at other places. Their wonton mee comes in 2 sizes, the small bowl at $3.50 and the big bowl at $4. I ordered the big bowl and it is the picture showed above. I find that their noodles is nice but the portion is still quite small even though i ordered the big bowl. Their wonton filling is also very little, such that you could put the whole wonton in you mouth and just swallow it. I hope they could improve on their wonton, but their noodles is awesome.

Yogurt OK Jul 25, 2013
Categories : Frozen Yogurt

Wanted a dessert after meal and decided to go for yogurt since it will be a healthier choice. There are many flavours that you could order but you must check with the staff on what flavour is available on that day. There are also many toppings to choose from by adding in additional cost.
I ordered a peach flavoured yogurt and the portion was smaller than usualsad It comes with the peach fruits.
I think I ordered the wrong one, I ordered the peachie on the menu, that is why the portion was much smaller than the original one. It still tasted nice as you could really taste the peach flavour in the yogurt. With the peach fruits, it was a complete match.

bamboo rice OK Jul 24, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

Left: bamboo rice, Right: Yuan Yang (Iced)
I tried their bamboo rice as i find it very unique. I ordered the one with chicken and mushroom. They will give you an empty plate as it is difficult to eat directly from the bamboo. You will have to scope the rice out as it is below all the ingredients. It tasted great, it is not salty.
I also ordered Yuan Yang (Iced). It is coffee with tea, a mixture of both and it is a common/popular drink in Hong Kong. Therefore, it is a MUST TRY when you visit a Hong Kong Cafe. It is very refreshing on such a hot weather.

We ordered the mango shaved ice as it is really HUGE and TALL! It was shared among 2 of my friends and me. There is also a mango ice cream at the top. I just find that there is too much ice and once you haven eaten the outer layer, there isnt any taste for it anymore. It is just plain ice.

Bak chor mee OK Jul 24, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Noodles

I was in orchard but was craving for Bak chor mee. Went to the last level food court at 313 but no stalls were selling minced pork noodles. I realized that there is this shop that sell and BINGO, is at the basement. The store is called EAT. There are not many seats available so you will have to find a seat before you order.

There are set meal that you could order and it is much cheaper if you want a coffee/tea. I ordered their set B which is the minced pork noodle (dry) with a cup of tea.

SET B: $5 As you could see in the picture, the portion is quite small. I find that there is not enough gravy/sauce and i find out that maybe there is not enough vinegar or it is not even added. However, the tea tasted quite nice!

Pad Thai Smile Jul 24, 2013
Categories : Thai | Food Court

There seems to be two Thai stores side by side but they are the same stores selling Thai food. They sell a lot of Thai dishes ranging from pineapple rice to tom yum hot pot. I decided to try their Pad Thai one day and waited a while the chef cooked on the spot. The set comes with a free tom yum soup and I really like it! The tom yum soup is more of a sour taste than spicy. The soup is so addictive that you would not stop drinking it once you start. Tip: You could ask for more soup.

Pad Thai
I like their pad thai too as it is not sticky. I mix it well with the peanut and it tasted nice. They are also generous with their ingredients as there are prawns, bean sprouts, etc.
