10 sticks of satay-$5
Minimum order is 10 sticks of satay and you are able to mix the different types of meat.
We ordered 5 sticks of chicken and 5 sticks of pork.
This shop is managed by an elderly lady and uncle. The uncle started cooking our order once we told him our order.
Shortly, our food is served. I like the satay as it is not overcooked and hard. Since i am wearing braces, i am still able to savour the sweetness of the meat and the sauce was good. Really love the satay as the timming of bbq was handled just right with the meat being cooked just so perfect.

Recommended Dish(es):  satay

Yong Tau fu OK Jul 06, 2013

Categories : Hakka

This yong tau fu store is located at one corner of Cuppage Plaza, behind Centrepoint.
There are alot of variety in the ingredients and all are very fresh.
The shop uncle is very friendly and he will call everyone friend friend which make our dinning experience more cozy. There are limited seats in the shop as it is quite small. However, the uncle will try to arrange and find seats for everyone. In the mean time of waiting, we could choose our food first and order.
You need to order a minimum of 7 pieces.
By the way, they just increase their prices and it became pricey now.

See the full variety of ingredients. There are even more and i will highly recommend their fried food. They will give alot of vegetables too if you order.

I ordered the dry one, as i like their sweet sauce with sesame. Their soup is nice too with the beans.
If you need extra sauce/chilli/soup, you could ask for more. The shop uncle is very friendly and smiley. Love their service.

There is a 25% student discount from 2pm to 5pm! That's alot of discount!
My friends and I went to pastamania- plaza Singapura branch for lunch and there were seats available when we reached at around 2pm. I ordered Cheesy Crumble Turkey bacon pasta.

Cheesy Crumble Turkey bacon pasta.
Love the cheese flavour of this pasta. I like it with my linguine choice of pasta.
If you find that it is not cheesy enough, there are bottles of cheese around and feel free to spam as much as possible.

Truffle Heart: $18.85
My friends and I went to Max Brenner Chocolate Bar at the vivo outlet.
They seems to have very little seats in the shop itself. There was queue when my friends and I went there at around 8pm on a saturday.
However, one of the staff led us to an area outside their shop, it was a fews steps away and there are more seats there. It was an enclosed place right in the middle of the walkway. The staff will have to run and handle customers both sides, we waited for a while before a staff came to take our order.
We ordered the Truffle Heart. The staff who serve our food actually thought us the way of eating, the tall mental bottle is chocolate syrup and have to be poured over the muffin. The small cup is chocolate shake.
The muffin is very nice, it is hot in the inside. The perfect taste when eaten together with the ice creamsmile

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Supper)

Lao ban Smile Jul 04, 2013

Lao Ban finally opened a new branch at Ang Mo Kio. However, it is located at Jubilee Square and would have to walk around 5 to 10 minutes from the Ang Mo Kio MRT Station/ bus interchange. There are a lot of bean curd flavours being sold here, but I still prefer the original which cost $1.50. The shop is quite big and there are even standing table beside the shop for people to dine in there (with aircon). If you have never try lao ban before, you all should give it a try. It is not like the traditional bean curd. It has the pudding texture and is soft and silky!
