beef noodle OK Nov 15, 2013

was recommended to this shop and decided to join in the office crowd at raffles area to queue for this beef kway teow.

Waited for a good 10 minutes before we got a seat. Ordered the dry version of the beef kway teow noodle. It cost $6. Quite expensive I thought.

The kway teow in the thick beefy brown sauce with beef pieces was sprinkled with beansprouts, salted vegetables and chopped peanuts.

The sauce is thick but pretty good. It was not starchy in anyway.

But frankly, I had had better beef noodles, so I cannot understand the hype and the queue.

French crepe OK Nov 13, 2013

I was craving for their crepes and ordered a smoked salmon and cheese flavor. It was served piping hot. The hot cheese and the crepe was fragrant and flavorful. The smoked salmon was a little salty but I guess most smoked salmon tasted like that.

Had it made into a soup combo and i chose the pumpkin soup to drink. It was thick and rich soup. Pumpkin flavor was plentiful. It's not some diluted soup.

Hotpot crave OK Nov 12, 2013

We had the sukiyaki and tonyu miso soup as soup base.
Sukiyaki was mildly sweet and made all the food cooked in it a little sweeter. I preferred the tonyu miso soup though, it was milky and a little sweet. It tasted delicious I thought.

For Suki-ya, they have a wide selection of mushrooms and vegetables which made me feel healthier. Their shitake mushroom was the best in my opinion. They offer free flow of pork, beef and chicken. The pork was the tastiest of all these meat.

They have a variety of balls like lobster, mushroom, fish. The most shiok one was chicken and cheese balls.

For dessert, they have ice cream. I want to recommend the peach tea flavor ice cream. I have never seen such a flavour before and it actually tasted like real peach tea. pretty interesting.

Dining with Sharks and rays OK Nov 07, 2013

The restaurant is pretty. You get an awesome view of the fishes swimming in the aquarium.

Ordered a tasting of Oysters to start of as appetizers.

Was pretty disappointed with them. It had a variety of sauces but none of them was outstanding and the oysters did not taste that fresh. I rather still have it with simple lemon and tabasco.

For main, I had baby lamb loin.

This dish I enjoyed very much. The lamb was tender and nicely flavoured. There was truffle sprinkled on the top that adds on to the flavour. Only problem was the portion is very small for a $58 dish. But I suppose that's what find dining is all about.

For dessert, I ordered a Chocolate passion. It was an interesting dish with a variety of things from passion fruit jelly to stewed banana. But sad to say, all put together, it just tasted so weird.

Out of the 3 dishes, I only enjoyed my main course. Though the view and ambience of this place was fantastic, I am not sure if I will ever return again.

For the kind of price I am paying, I am expecting to be wowed every single time I send their food into my mouth.

Glorious cakes OK Nov 07, 2013

This Royal Hazelnut is rich and chocolatey cake with hazelnut crunch at the bottom of the cake. It was well balanced. Not overly sweet and not too big piece that was really enjoyable.

Also tried their blackforest cake. It's a lighter cake compared to the royal hazelnut. It also contains alcohol. In my opinion, the alcohol content was a little too overwhelming and covered the taste of the chocolate in this cake.

The shop is very pretty, a very nice place to chill.
