Awesome taiwan street food Smile May 27, 2013

I ordered a Selina set that serves BBQ Chicken, Sour Plum Sweet potato and Super Caramel Bubble Tea with Grass Jelly & Aloe Vera.

The bbq chicken was mildly spicy and tasted just right, not overwhelming.

Sour plum sweet potato was my favourite side dish. The combination of sweet and sour was just so good I could have more than one packet.

Their bubble tea is also very yummy. Because it's caramel, I opted for 50% sweetness and the tea was smooth and nice. having aloe vera in it adds a tinge of sour into the sweet tea.

This brand of street food and bubble tea is really very good. you should go for it everytime you see it.

Happy Brunching Smile May 27, 2013

Pretty cosy restaurant tucked at the corner of Bishan Park. It's only 3 weeks old according to the friendly staff and they are already packed with people.

Expect to queue for a table because they do not take reservation at the moment.

I ordered Beef and Guinness Pie, Waffles with Banana as well as Churros with chocolate sauce.

The beef on top of the pie was tender and well marinated, though I did not tasted any beer, but it was still really yummy. The presentation of this dish was very interesting as I had expected the meat to be inside the pie, it was in fact on top of the crust which all tasted so good.

The waffles with banana was pretty ordinary. But still nice.

Lastly, the churros was so fragrant, crispy and chewy. Extremely nice when it's hot and the chocolate sauce was just all too good that leave me wanting to have more.

We ordered their mocha and latte. Not too bad. They serve liberty coffee.

We enjoyed this place very much because of the good food, reasonable price and nice ambiance in the park!

dessert time  Smile May 26, 2013

Was out with my family and my sisters wanted some awesome cake for tea break. So I introduced to them Kki owned by an acquaintance.

We ordered 4 different cakes. Honestly I Cant remember the names of the cakes because it was too creative. Haha.

But I will start with my favourite. Being a die hard chocolate lover, I had ordered Little Red Riding Hood (Dark Chocolate with Raspberry Mousse. It was the best of the 4, I had that day.

It is smooth and soft and the mousse was delicate. What I loved most was the raspberry inside the dark chocolate. It's sour flavour gave me a surprise and balanced the rich dark chocolate on the outside very well.

My sister's favourite was Antoinette, White Chocolate with Mango Mousse. its texture was soft and good enough. According to my sister, it's a well balanced cake. But for me.. it was a bit too milky I felt.

The other I enjoyed very much was Cafe Dumo. It has good mix of delicious coffee and chocolate flavor.

We were recommended Japanese Iced Tea to go with the cakes. However, it was just very ordinary to me.

Yummy Indian Cuisine Smile May 09, 2013

I love Curry Gardenn for the fact that they have the full suite of indian food offerings.
If you crave for prata, they will make it fresh for you, if you want some thosai, you can have it here as well. from north to south indian cuisine, you name it, they should have it.

I had a simple mee goreng with fried fish for lunch. I am not indian but it was very comforting to have the hot mee fried with egg filling up my tummy. it wasnt spicy which works for me. It was paired with Fish that tasted so tender and good.

Love the teh tarik they serve as well. it was thick and not overly sweet. it never fails to perk me up.

dinner at valentino Smile Mar 14, 2013

When I first heard of this restaurant and was told that they were so good that its full house every night. I did not believe.
I thought the person who shared about this restaurant was just kidding.

So one day, I decided to walk in. It was a tuesday evening and I was surprised that there are no more seats available. The staff advised that I make a reservation in future at least 3 days in advance.

So I did and managed to finally try it. The restaurant setting is very cosy. Staff were friendly and attentive.
We ordered a beef ravioli and squid ink fettucine with crab meat.

Food was served to us pretty quickly despite a full house. The beef ravioli was tomato based and the sauce had lemon and hints of mint leaf. It was really tasty and of good quality.

Squid ink fettucine sauce was super awesome. Its rich and creamy but it doesnt leave you feeling 'gelat'
The crab meat in it waa succulent and fresh.

It was indeed a very good meal. The only disappointment was with the dessert. We had a dark chocolate sponge cake. It was nice but not as good as we imagined a $10.80 piece of cake should be.

All in all it was great experience to be soaked in the nice ambience Valentino offers.
Will definitely visit again to try the other dishes especially those that requires pre ordering.
