Good cup of coffee Smile Dec 12, 2013

Categories : Caribbean | Café

Needed a coffee after our meal, we walked into Jamaica Blue.
This is the first time I am trying their coffee and I definitely want to visit again to try the other flavours.

I ordered a Chai Latte. It was presented very nicely with a heart shape tea art.

The coffee felt light and creamy. Chai latte was slightly spiced. The cup was very easy to drink and really very enjoyable. Thumbs up for the coffee here.

Indonesian buffet Smile Nov 19, 2013

It was a colleague's farewell and we selected The Rice Table for an affordable buffet lunch.
It's only $17.90 nett.

We tried almost everything on selection and they were all good. I will recommend the following. They were my preferred ones from the lunch.

1) Beef Rendang

The beef is so tender and soft that it melts in your mouth. The rendang was super tasty and not overly spicy.

2) Tauhu Telor

This one was almost everyone's favourite. It's just so magical. A simple dish of tofu and egg combined. But the taste is so good that we kept ordering more.
3) Fried Sweet and Sour Fish

This fish is fried and crispy on the outside. Soft and tender on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce was super yummy and appetizing.

Give this place a try if you are in the area!

Sweet Wine  Smile Sep 28, 2013

If you are into sweet wine like me. This is something I like to recommend.
A sweet malbec from Argentina.

Had the opportunity to taste it before it hit the shelves next week.

This red wine is smooth, easy to drink, not overly sweet and overall a very lovely drink.
It's not heavy like port in terms of alcohol content.
It's sweetness is nothing like ice wine.

It's a very well balanced bottle I like to recommend. Heard from the owners that this sweet malbec is only available in their retail shop.

Do check it out. It will be retailing at $66.50 for 500ml bottle.

Sinfully Good Smile Jul 15, 2013

I was at The Ghim Moh food centre for lunch.
There was a queue which was shorter than usual at the Fried Kway Teow stall. I decided to go for it. After queuing for 25 minutes, I finally got my hands on the plate of freshly fried kway teow.

The taste was pretty good I must say, it's fried but I din think it tasted oily. The kway teow just melts in my mouth. The cockles were fresh and tasty. It wasn't too spicy and everything was just so good including the price. They have the option of $2.50, $3 and $4. I say it's worth your time to queue for it!

Good food quick service Smile Jul 09, 2013

Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes

Visited Canele and ordered their Classic Carbonara Spaghetti. It's one of the best Carbonara I ever tried. It's taste was rich and full flavoured in every bite but it was not too heavy and overpowered with cream. I find it simply awesome.

I also ordered Smoked Salmon Wrap. It felt like a very healthy dish. If you are on a diet, this dish would be very good. There were a lot of vegetables in it, making the wrap crunchy.

Besides the smoked salmon was done just right. there was not fishy smell and the fish tasted really good.

I was also impressed with the service as they were able to served the food very quickly without compromising on the quality of the dishes.
