Cup-caking again Smile May 03, 2013

Categories : Desserts and Cakes

This should be my 3rd time buying their cupcakes and I wanted my folks to try. The first one I bought it at Goldenshoe outlet and I chose Cookie and Cream. Nice one. The small oreo cookie on top, adds the sweetness to it. Second time I had their popular choice, Red Velvet. The good amount of cream on top is so sweet and smooth, it melts my heart. And that little red heart candy on top makes it look so velvet. All their cupcakes look so pretty.

This time round I bought a trio at IMM outlet. As usual, I will choose their Red velvet and along with Rainbow Vanilla and Strawberry Chocolate. $9 for a trio. Worth the try! And if you have more time to spare, have their cupcakes on the spot as their IMM outlet is just like a small cafe where they serve drinks too. A simple setting that is cosy.

My folks love it. Though we had it a day after purchase, but it still tastes good and especially when having it cold. Yes I put them in the fridge.

Spaghetti Love Smile May 03, 2013

Categories : American | Coffee

During lunch is always so packed especially during school terms. And to avoid the long queue, I head for a Starbucks lunch.

Had their Chicken Sausage Tomato Spaghetti that comes with a iced tea (choose between passionfruit or green tea) at only $8.90.

The spaghetti is nice, with a good amount of tomato spread. Love it. Sometimes we do encounter the bits of sour taste from the tomato but this one is just right. Spaghetti is well-cooked and so is the chicken sausage. It is chewy plus springy.

There are other sets to choose from from sandwiches to wraps. Either a $6.90 or $8.90 sets. Comes with a drink.

Will try their wraps real soon.

Beef Noodles Crave Smile Apr 08, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Noodles

tonguesmile Finally I have a good taste of dry beef noodles after so long. This is worth the price because the portion is big and satisfying. We ordered additional beef balls that cost $1 for 4. Both the beef and beef balls are so chewy and soft. The soup has the smell of herbal and the taste is good. The gravy is like the lor mee gravy. But there is herbal smell. Love it. Must try. If you have the budget, opt for the beef balls. It makes the whole meal complete.

Chewy Beef Udon Smile Mar 31, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Food Court | Noodles | Rice

tonguesmile I love beef. So chewy. Udon is cooked to the right texture and is springy. Affordable price at $4 and is considered quite reasonable for foodcourt stall when it can be presented in quite a restaurant style. Surprisingly. Definitely will try others in their menu to affirm my verdict on their cooking and presentation.

Budget meal - Lunch at U Town Smile Mar 20, 2013

tonguesmile It is at NUS U Town. Took a shuttle bus D2 in NUS campus, very convenience.

They have lunch sets at affordable price of $6.90 or $7.90 (if I remember correctly) which you can choose between pasta or pizza. The only difference between the price is their drinks. $6.90 set is canned drinks and likewise for $7.90 set, you can choose juices and etc. I took $6.90 set of course. Budget! Had their carbonara pasta + Coke Light.

I love it. Before that, I usually had my all time favourite Aglio olio. And I don't really like creamy pasta until recently at Blisshouse (The Central), we had Mushroom Alfredo and very impressed especially my guy because he too hates creamy stuff or basically he don't enjoy pasta. What a waste! So for a change, I had carbonara! The creamy level is just right, not too overly and just a little saltiness from bacon makes it perfect. But have it while it's hot piping. When it turns cold, it will taste a little yucky.

I have not tried their pizza but I saw most of the tables with pizza orders. Might be a good try.
