Their signature pasta, Saveur's pasta, was a true delight.
For $4.90, it was a dish not to be missed.
I love how flavourful it was, almost like an aglio olio minus the garlic.
There was a generous serving of sakura ebi, but I didnt see much minced pork.
Shared this with my friend, and I was longing for more.

The next must order is the Foie Gras with lentils.
I was initially against ordering this dish since the last time I had Foie Gras, it was horrible.
What I imagined was thick, disgusting liver...ewww.
Thankfully my friend chose this, and I was able to try it.
It was sooo good.
I felt the Foie Gras just melt into my mouth once I bite it.
Love the lentil infused sauce all over the foie gras

My friend got the Duck Confit which was supposedly their bestseller.
I liked the creamy mash potato and the mushrooms, but I thought that the duck leg meat was a little too tough for me.
After having my Bebek Garing in Bali and Batam, I felt that the taste of duck should be best left at that, LOL.
That was why I didn't order the duck confit over here.

I got myself the Pan Seared Sea Bass.
Didn't like the texture of the sea bass, and I thought the meat wasn't juicy.
My friend felt that it tasted fresh though.
The only plus points of this dish for me, was the potatoes.
And, who can forget the dish presentation!

Plus points for the Pistachio Panna Cotta!
I thought it was green tea at first haha!
Topped with ground and caramelised pistachio nuts, it was good and creamy.
However, I'm the kind who can't take too much milky and creamy stuff, so I only took 2 mouths before the rest were wiped by my friend.
I think this can be listed as a must order too!

Lastly, I had the Textures of Citrus.
I wanted a refreshing dessert because of the fried and oily dishes I had, plus my throat was itching.
When it came, the people sitting near me went "WOW".
Awesome presentation, yet again.
This was indeed refreshing, although the acidic and sour taste became a little too strong for my stomach.
This dessert consists of orange Ice shavings and grapefruit jelly, topped with the salty crushed cornflakes and meringue bits.
You could taste sweet, sour and a touch of citrus bitterness.
Kinda love it!

Try their curry sauce OK Sep 11, 2013
Categories : Japanese

Ordered the tomato soup and curry soup
After tasting both, I advise against ordering the tomato hot pot unless you're really a fan of tomato.
I love tomato, but having it as a soup with my japanese rice doesn't work for me.
In the end, I kept stealing my bf's curry sauce hahaha
I highly recommend you to order their curry set because the sauce was good.
His set comes with a chicken thigh, eggs, brocolli and mushrooms - we even took our own appetizer and dipped it into the sauce.
For my tomato soup base, the main ingredient was the pork sausage.
However, the pork sausage tasted really artificial - don't expect it to taste like bockwurst, they're vastly different.
Their pork sausage tasted more like the non-dried version of lap chiong....weird!

Bonus points to the ambiance though, since the restaurant is located at the extension of PS, it was less crowded.
We reached here at around 5 plus and we were the only few customers, shortly streams of customers came in.
Doubt I'd come back again though, unless I'm really running out of ideas on what to eat.

Decent chicken chop OK Sep 11, 2013

Categories : Steaks and Grills

Headed here for lunch since I was in town to Paragon for medical checkup.
Should have chosen Fish&Co or others instead but I decided to make a decision quick and settled in here.
This is not my first visit though, the previous times were disappointing - I'm not sure why I came here again haha
Anyway, I ordered the grilled chicken chop which costs around $10 after charges.
The grilled chicken was pretty good, so was the aglio olio - while the portion of the aglio olio was a little small, it was the perfect amount for me.
I love the terriyaki sauce which accompanied the grilled chicken, also the chicken was grilled well (not too hard, nor too soft).
I was able to finish the whole plate, including the veggies - maybe I was just too hungry.
This was not a bad dish after all!

ANNIVERSARY LUNCH OK Sep 03, 2013
Categories : French | Restaurant

It was our first anniversary yesterday, and we decided to settle for somewhere at Dempsey Hill to celebrate because of its romantic ambiance (we assumed).
In the end, my bf reserved two seats at Au Petit Salut, which specializes in French cuisine, for it's 3 course lunch set meal.
The meal sets us to about $36++ for each, totaling $80 odd.
It was actually gloomy yesterday, and we could have opted for seats outside.
Didn't imagine that the weather would be rather cooling, since these few days have been very very warm.
Well anyway, sitting inside was not bad too.

I believe reservations should be done if you want to dine here.
When I was there for my lunch meal, the whole place was nearly fully-seated.
For starters, my bf had the escargots served on bone marrow.
ERGH, didn't fancy the escargot cause I can't appreciate them, but my bf said it was rather good, so don't quote me.

For me, I had (you know, I had to refer to my photos to see what I ordered. Shows how unimpressive the dish was to me lol) salad
The salad was pretty average, but I love the mushrooms and the bread toast in it.
Gobbled most of them up, while sharing most of the salad with my bf haha

My steak was ordered in medium, and I think it was done rather well.
But the problem is that it was difficult to chew.
Had to chew really long, and somehow the blood from the steak had this smell that doesn't make it taste fresh.
Anyway, the mash potato was AWESOME!
My bf said it tasted like it's made from powder, but I don't care, I just LOVE IT.
Haha, can't believe I like the "cheapest" thing out of the plate, oh well.

My bf ordered the snapper meal, and it was really good (Argh, my choices are really bad).
The snapper along with prawn emulsion was flavorful!

Please do not order the chocolate creme brulee!
I left more than half of it untouched.
I just don't like the chocolate cream they served sad

I advise you to order the tofu cheesecake which my bf ordered.
It was delicious!

Should have ordered the choux bun, my bf was reprimanding me about not going with my choices and blindly following people's recommendation -.-
Of course must see what people comment right.
Read a few blogs that recommended choux bun, but at that moment, I wanted to try the creme brulee.
Eh, too bad.
Doubt I'll be heading back again to eat their choux bun sad(

While such an experience was good for an anniversary, I can't comment very positively about the food.
I guess I'm not good at choosing lol

regretful potato pancake Cry Sep 03, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Korean | Food Court

Since I'd be having dinner afterwards at Chomp Chomp, I decided to just order their potato pancake, rather than their set meal.
Turns out to be a horrible choice.
This in my opinions, is the least delicious food, and also the most expensive.
It costs me $4 for just a thin oily slice.
Totally hated it and felt like asking for a refund sad
In the end, it made my stomach ache too :X, probably because it was too oily.

I've ate so much better tasting pancakes in Korea.
This was sooo disappointing!
Please, never ever buy this pancake or you'll regret like me!
I felt like I was eating biscuit instead of a fluffy potato pancake
