Decided to give this novel-sounding dessert a try, and got a set of 6 jellies when they had a Groupon promotion, at $12.60 instead of their original price of $25.20. As its name suggests, these are jellies infused with liquor. There were 6 different flavours in the set:

- Lychee Martini: good mix of lychee and martini; the jelly, however, is not chewy enough
- Strawberry Martini Cheesecake: there is nothing special about this as it tasted like any normal cheesecake (without alcohol that is), and the base of crumbs was soggy
- Sourz Apple: presentation was good, as they sought to present it like the real thing, but the jelly fails to impress
- Jagerbomb: made of Jagermeister and Redbull; I am not a fan of both
- Espresso Martini: espresso liquor jelly, nothing to rave about this combination of coffee and liquor
- Bailey's Mint Chocolate: my favourite among the 6. Mix of Baileys and chocolate is just right.

I do not doubt the amount of liquor being put into the jellies, as the taste of liquor is very strong in every cup; but honestly, jellies and liquor are better consumed separately as they are. These jellies are neither here nor there.

Avoid if possible Cry Apr 03, 2013

They had this groupon deal of $5 for $10 worth of snacks recently so I decided to give it a try, although not a fan of fried food. I bought a few fried tofu, fried niangao with sweet potato, fried banana, and potato cheese balls. The potato cheese balls were dry and tasteless, while the fried tofu tasted normal and nothing to rave about. As for the niangao and banana, they were coated with such thick tasteless flour which made it difficult to finish the whole snack.

This is La Peche, a peach flavoured cake. Although it looks cute, it does not taste as good. Can't seem to describe what is wrong with this cake, but the fragrance and aroma of peach is not brought out, and the cake tastes rather bland. Another cake not to try would be La Pomme Verte, a green apple-like cake, the green outer jelly tastes artificial, and the cake was hard to swallow.

Traditional Desserts OK Oct 28, 2013

Came across this newly opened dessert store at Changi Village. You won't miss it, the decor is rather eye catching. They sell traditional desserts like sesame paste, and also mango pomelo sago, etc. I got the durian pomelo ($5), but was rather disappointed, as it wasn't puree but watery, with lumps of ice and durian scattered around, wouldn't recommend this. I got my mum the purple rice with yam ($3.20); only had one piece of yam, and it's average pulot hitam (?) but there was corn in it.

Jap Buffet OK Oct 23, 2013

An ala carte jap buffet that has lots of stuff. Costs $36++ per person for dinner so it amounts to $42. Lots of different kinds of sushi, handrolls, etc; I tried the soft shell crab sushi, wasn't good as the soft shell crab was cold and wasn't crispy, so skip that. Many types of teppanyaki dishes available - like garlic fried rice (this was good), bean sprouts, etc etc. They also had yakitori - chicken, quail egg, mushrooms, etc. For fried food they had assorted tempura, which was alright. I especially liked the terriyaki salmon (grilled), and the quail eggs. They also had sashimi, which were quite fresh. All in all a decent ala carte buffet spread, and service is prompt with the dishes served quickly.
