Satay Sauce + Bee Hoon OK May 28, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

While I patronize Ang Mo Kio Food Centre, today is the first time I tried Centre Satay Bee Hoon...

A plate of satay bee hoon which costs $3 comes in a satisfactory portion of vermicilli served with cuttlefish, cockles, prawn, lean meat and kangkong...Remarkably sweet and savory, the thick satay sauce coats the bee hoon very well...The fresh cuttlefish is extremely tasty and crunchy...

Try while is HOT...

Celebrity Name?? OK May 27, 2013
Categories : Taiwanese | Kids-Friendly

I've had the Lemon Ice Jelly which, even at full sugar though my usual is 50%, was so very refreshing and tasty...I've had lemon teas like this from other bubble tea outlets but I think I Love Taimei has really nailed it in terms of the balance between ice, tea and just enough lemon so that it isn't overly sour. (I'm not a fan of sour drinks though so people who like hardcore lemon juice etc won't like this.) The jelly was nice and the Taro Q was awesome...I didn't think anyone outside of Taiwan had those so it's nice to find!!

Happen to saw Celebrity name are actually the names of the BBQ Crispy Chicken, Extra Crispy Chicken and Lemon Crispy Chicken sold at I Love Taimei 我愛台妹...

Wonder how fans of S.H.E and other celebrity name will feel about it...?? haha!!

Healthy Shabu Shabu OK May 27, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Buffet | Sukiyaki/Shabu Shabu

Is the same concept with causeway point but the different is there's a time limited: 90mins...

Free flow of pork, beef and chicken for only $19.90 dinner...

There are 3 types of meat slices being served - chicken, pork, beef...The beef tends to be of a very very lean cut, hence is pretty tough to chew..
The other self-serve food are some rather limp looking maki rolls, veggies and mushrooms, a couple of crab balls/sotong balls, egg, vermicelli... not very exciting and selection is not wide. Maybe 15 choices in all..

There are 3 different types of soup base (Choice of Soup Base: Sukiyaki, Shabu Shabu & Kimchi) and the pot can allow 2 types...The taste is reasonable good quality, cos they have high traffic flow of customers...Food is cheap and good - value for money...The meat re-fill came quickly and all the food was fresh...

Overall a good eat when you are looking to cook something by yourself...

Chinese Cuisine OK May 22, 2013
Categories : Noodles

This is my first time having Mayim...

Crunchy and just nice...

The peanut sauce too dilute but the peanut chunks added good crunch to chewy minced pork

Bursting with flavour...

it's high in cholesterol but are not very fatty and it's very soft...

Was quite good

Jelly-like, it is quite rich, not too sour or sweet, it was just right...

The noodles is still smooth, The taste was alright, quite sweet and it is delicious...

It has lots of fruits (mango) but the mango taste can be stronger...

The service was efficient, with pretty good timing for serving food from the point of ordering...They doesn't seem quite approachable and they are rather averagely professional and presentable...

Value is there because it is cheap for its "taste" and quality...The food portion is just nice...

Recommended Dish(es):  Mango Pudding

Spending per head: Approximately $26(Dinner)
