Couple Treat Sweetheart + Lychee Martini

I didn't know about Bishan Park got Bar till my bestie search online...

Bishan park is a little park with many secrets and one of the secret is this quaint eden--like bar hidden among the green foliage that unfolds into an intriguing oasis...

We started with some finger food while we cheerfully downed our cocktail... Very unique, with loads of great little nooks and crannies tucked into corners of lush outdoor garden. The music was perfect… not loungey or jazzy, but a little more “chilled-out bar atmosphere” and just the right volume...Even on a hot night, the outdoor fans kept us cool...

Wanted to try something new...

This place offers a good mix of Western cuisine, pasta, and newly added Asian dishes like Nyonya Curry Chicken...Most of them comes in a set meal which includes soup, drink (such as fruit punch) and a small slice of cake (which you can choose ranging from western Carrot Cake to Peranakan kueh)...I find that most, if not all, are very value-for-money and especially suited for those who want to have a quick, cheap dinner and very affordable prices...

Tried the Spaghetti & Chicken Chop, The price is reasonable... no comment about it, a healthy dish when as they are using Olive on it...

The shop itself is small and a little squeeze...

Nevertheless, I would definitely come back to eat...

Went for farewell lunch with my colleagues...It had quite a nice ambiance, that was certainly a marked improvement that was the disastrous interior of the Hacienda Café that used to be housed in the premises...

Not much people in the restaurant, I can't believe that we waited for 1 hour 30 mins ++ just for our foods...

The Bacon Marinated Burger nicely presented in small wooden baskets...They certainly lived up to their name, as they were extremely juicy...the fries they served with the burger were really good, crisp on the outside, soft in the middle...

Cranberry & walnut brownie + Vanilla bean ice cream was yummy...the gals all loves it, Had a bite of their brownie cake too, deadly!!

The service could be better...

My love one is an Hokkien Mee & Prawn Noodles lover, so he will been searching on the net...

The soup is lighter in colour than the usual dark coloured prawn mee soup i tasted else where..On first sip of the soup, i find it rather bland and not rich in flavor as i expected it to be... could it be that my taste buds have been so spoil by the usual dosage of MSG and hence could no longer appreciate pure natural cooking without it? Or perhaps its my choice of bee hoon that could not bring out the flavor of the soup? I'm not quite sure...However, i must point out that i did not sprinkle their special made chili powder which could enhance the flavor i suppose. This home made chili powder seems to be their specialty as its also for sale...Overall, the soup still taste good but I din like the sliced pork as i find it too fatty...

It was tea break so we went for popiah treat...

The skin is nice and thin, the turnip filling is tasty, and there’s just enough taugeh to give it some crunch...The proportions of garlic, sweet sauce and chilli are just right, and there’s also a very interesting crunchy topping that’s a little like fried breadcrumbs that you don’t get at many other popiah stalls...They don’t add the cursory kng chye (coriander/cilantro) that’s so damn common and irritating in so many popiah joints...
