Aston's offers great grilled food at prices that even students like my cousin can afford...Its a great dine-in outlet for a restaurant that usually is found in coffee shops...

Awesome! Their foods is delicious, Restaurant meals with food court prices... Food quality is pretty decent, bearing in mind the very affordable price tag, the price of the foods are quite reasonable and there is no service charge to our bill...

Will go back to try more!! smile

Spending per head: Approximately $7(Dinner)

German Pork Knuckle!! Smile Jun 06, 2013

Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant features world famous quality German beers and authentic Bavarian cuisine in a chic and contemporary setting...

Had visit umpteen times, this was my choice for a friends dinner for a celebratory occasion...

Pork knuckle portion consider huge can share among 2-4pax, the highlight of the dinner definitely goes to pork knuckle...the part that gives you surprises is the skin, which is very crispy yet not salty, awesome...one plus point for this dish, is not oily at all (Ladies love it) making a lot of crunch noises when consuming the skin, the meat is tender and juicy...

The sides we order are Pizza, Wedges, Fries & Potato Salad and what surprisingly it goes perfectly well with wheat Beer/draft Beer and pork knuckle!! Wheee!!

Overall, Brotzeit served wonderful german food, making my visit worth while...

Assorted Yakitori Smile Jun 01, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Steaks and Grills

Nanbantei is a small cozy restaurant that has a good reputation for good yakitori, grilled skewered food, which explains the perpetual queue, and the need for luck to get seats without prior reservations...

Went with 6 of my bestie to celebrate birthday...

Miso Soup --> pleasant. Around the same standard as those better entry level Japanese eateries...

Fresh sashimi moriawase and the potent wasabi...Great combination again. 5 stars for its presentation too...

The chicken was tender and the leaks were cooked through well, but the sauce was dense and obscured the chicken taste...

were truly exceptional, fresh & crispy...

The assorted yakitori were grilled wonderfully - all the sticks we ate had slightly charred exteriors yet the interiors were still juicy and there's a mild charcoal taste to heighten the taste of the meats...

is normal pea...

Their yakitori is the best, worth the try.... smile

Recommended Dish(es):  Yakitori

Spending per head: Approximately $32(Dinner)

Taiwan Bubble Tea Smile May 29, 2013

I'm a fan of Share Tea & KOI...!!

With the abundance of Sweettalk bubble tea outlets, it is time for us Singaporeans to receive a bubble tea that is way beyond the average cuppa tea...And here it is - Koi Cafe! Bubble tea that is a cut above the rest...Although with prices that are way higher than the normal cup of bubble tea, it is easy to see why their business is doing so well and why Singaporeans are buying into the tea cafe concept...

My Favorite is their Classic Milk Tea, their bubble tea here is of higher quality...The advanced equipment aside, it is evident that the quality is so much better!! It is a milk tea with a permeating fragrance of tea, with a subtle creaminess of the milk, and not the nondescript sugary kinds...The pearls are chewy but soft and aptly sweet...Definitely a winner!!

Recommended Dish(es):  Classic Milk Tea

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Tea)

Western X Japanese OK May 18, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Ramen

Tomato Omu --> It goes very well with the rice and eggs...The tomato cream sauce was savory and tasty.

Double Pancake (Mapple) --> Souffle style, was indeed fluffy and delicious

Fuwa Fuwa --> This looks really interesting, very fluffy and eggy and there's rice, cuttlefish and mushrooms underneath the fluffy cloud of egg...

Chocolate Fondant with Softee --> More elaborate classic with a tropical touch

Lobster Bisque Spaghetti --> Fresh seafood, tasted very well, with all ingredients mixed together

Vanilla Soffle --> Infectious sweet & savory soufflé of all time!

3 of my friends and I went to queue at this restaurant from 7pm on Sunday and waited until 8pm almost an hour before we were finally given seats...

Hoshino Coffee is somewhat like a Japanese Cafe/Restaurant/Deserts place to have nice coffee and deserts!!
We did not try the coffee as it was dinner time...

Short of the mark, Worth the try...

Recommended Dish(es):  Vanilla Soffle

Spending per head: Approximately $21(Dinner)
