A taste of nanyang at ntu  OK Dec 22, 2013

Well, I decided to try a taste of nanyang at NTU as there wasn't a lot of choice available for dinner at south spine. I ordered their nasi lemak which is pretty expensive at $3.80. The rice was green in colour and was soft and chewy at the same time. There is a light coconut smell. The egg was cold and didn't ate the fish as there is too many bones in it. The chicken was a little too hard to bite.

During dinner, it is a very easy to get a seat.

Manhattan at plaza singapore  Cry Dec 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

This is not my first time eating Manhattan but this is the worst outlet I had been too. We came in big group of 9 person for birthday celebration and they do not allow customers to keep their cake in the fridge. So we try to hide behind our bags so that the birthday boy couldn't see.
Then, some of friends get their food served in 10 minutes and some waited for 30 minutes. I think is quite ridiculous when the table of 8 which comes after us got all their food served. I was so angry that I almost scolded the waitress. A hungry man is always an angry man.
well, when the food was served to my table, other than the flaming prawns, the rest didn't meet the standard that other outlets provide. The fried food are all cold, i don't why too cause the flaming prawns and the raisin rice was served warm. The vegetable was so hard to chew on.
But one thing good about them is that the waiting time for a seat is shorter than other outlet.

The coffee bean and Tea leaf  Cry Dec 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American

This is the most terrible coffee bean stall in Singapore. I will definitely not go back again. My order: tiramisu, the ultimate, pumpkin latte (hot) and Boston chocolate cake. The Boston chocolate cake was alright, but you will get sick after you finished the whole slice. The ultimate was not my drink so didn't get to try it, but i heard from my friend that I was nice. However, the pumpkin latte (seasonal drink) tasted weird. Strong pumpkin taste that overwhelmed the latte and worst of there is a strong taste of cinnamon. Not sweet at all. sad
The tiramisu was suppose to be nice. But they gave me an expired one; my friend actually tasted it and find it weird so he asked me to try out. OMG, it was soggy and sour. So i went to the manager is this what their tiramisu suppose to taste like but their reply is no, because the cake was left on the shelf for 3 days so exchange a new batch for me which just arrived in the morning. That's all. No apologies.
I am quite disappointed with my experience at coffee bean.
Lastly, no a weekend afternoon that place was super crowded and hard to find a seat.

canteen 11 ntu western food Cry Dec 22, 2013

This is one of the HALAL store that sells western food in NTU. To be honest, I didn't really like the taste of it. The chicken was alright, but not tasty enough for me to come back again. The fries is the worst of all, i was so soggy and cold. The coleslaw was so hard to chew on! Now chicken chop costs $3.50 which is consider cheap as compare to market rate but the portion was also smaller than usual.

Poulet at Jurong Point Smile Dec 21, 2013

Categories : French | Restaurant | Desserts and Cakes | Roasted Meat

Poulet had weekday lunch promotion and we decided to try it out so here is my order but I can't remember the exact name of the dish. It is actually chicken stew and I was given a bowl of rice too. The rice was very hard and it is impossible to chew on so I only manage to finish half of it and I gave up. The chicken was slightly overcooked hence, it is quite tough to chew on. However, the potato and carrot in the stew was soft. The waiting time was quite short during lunch hour, we waited around 10 minutes. In total, we spend 40 plus for three persons which is quite worthy.
