Within a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, Kith Cafe serves up fuss-free, simple and rustic home-cooked food and great tasting coffee. This makes Kith Cafe an extremely popular place to chill out, and weekends typically see all of their outlets fully packed.

The informal ambience at Kith Cafe is enhanced by quirky custom-designed furniture, with square block like designs adorning the furniture and open storage shelves displaying their products. Despite a small floor space, Kith Cafe full maximises their interior to seat as many people as possible, without making diners feel cramped or uncomfortable. It also helps that their outlets typically have outdoor seating with good views of the surrounding area.

Service at Kith Cafe is warm and personal, even during busy peak periods. Staff take the trouble to check on your dining experience, and are more than willing to make suggestions. Good product knowledge as well. Food is served very quickly upon order, with very little waiting time.

Food at Kith Cafe is simple, rustic, uncomplicated, and served in large portions. Despite the generous helpings, prices are reasonable, comparable to prices in most other average cafes. Kith Cafe takes pride in their original recipes, carefully sourced ingredients, freshly baked bread and pastries, and their distinctive blend of coffee. Dishes are flavourful and wholesome, and I would highly recommend Kith Cafe for brunch, lunch, and dinner!

Full Ambush (Cafe) review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2011/10/ambush-cafe.html

Been a while since I dined at Ambush (Cafe), and I'm pleased that they still offer the same great tasting, good quality, fresh food, at inexpensive and reasonable prices. Do note that the menu for Ambush (Cafe) differs from outlet to outlet, with the newer outlets having a much wider range of options.

Service at Ambush (Cafe) is excellent, food arrives quickly, and the staff are polite and courteous, even at peak periods.

Food is done relatively well, while not the best I've had, it's still better than many higher-priced restaurants, providing good value for money. Their menu has expanded since my last visit, and is heavily influenced by cuisines from England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Russia and Spain.

I particularly like Ambush (Cafe) Mixed Pot of Black Mussels and White Clams, where you can choose from 4 different preparation styles.

When I first visited Sun With Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe in May 2008, I remember being wowed by the tasty, authentic Japanese food, though the price for me was considered expensive at the time. Now, 8 years on, Sun With Moon is still going strong, drawing in folks with its consistently high quality food, while still maintaining its standards of Japanese savoir faire.
Sun With Moon Exterior

Sun With Moon Exterior

Ambience at Sun With Moon is modern minimalist zen, well suited to a refined yet casual dining experience, living up to its name of combining 2 disparate elements. The large, spacious interior with clean lines benefits from its window side location of Wheelock Place mall, offering a view of the busy street below, along with natural lighting in the day. Contrast of light and shadows, created by bright, well placed spotlights, create an elegant setting over the dark wooden furniture and booths, while thoughtfully carved out spaces allow guests to pick from large communal group dining, to small intimate alcove dining. They even offer a large selection of magazines for browsing!

Service at Sun With Moon is near fine dining status. The sharply dressed staff move and speak with a quiet, professional air, working quickly and efficiently, be it clearing tables, taking orders, or presenting the bill. There is the customary Japanese courtesy and hospitality, I notice staff bow slightly when speaking with guests, and exude a sense of personalised attention. However, I note that not all staff have the same level of product knowledge, especially if questioned about the rather extensive menu. Still, the level of service provided here exceeds that of many other restaurants.

Food at Sun With Moon is all about authentic, traditional Japanese dishes, with several modern Japanese items. The extensive menu even has items which you won't be able to get in other Japanese restaurants in Singapore! Executive Chef Mr. Toshio Sawai heads up the kitchen, bringing to the table over 30 years of experience in Japanese culinary arts, offering dishes that are of high quality, and presented beautifully. Generally, I find each dish to be tasty, with an emphasis on flavour and freshness. Portion sizes are designed for individuals, though set meals are the norm here, and are incredibly filling! Prices are similar to other restaurants, budget about SGD $55 per person for a full meal here.

Loved the zesty, sour sweet Yuzu Umeshu (SGD $9)! A blend of plum sake, with juice from yuzu fruit harvested in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, this light, chilled beverage is refreshing and thirst quenching. Good!

The Kamameshi Unagi & Yakiniku (SGD $31.80 Set Meal) here consists of an individual pot, where Japanese white rice is steamed together with a light katsuobushi (bonito fish flakes) and dashi (seaweed stock), along with aromatics such as straw mushrooms, carrots, lotus roots, chestnuts, konjac (elephant yam), and shredded egg. The rice absorbs all the flavour, making it incredibly fragrant and delicious! Mix it with the toppings of sweet unagi (grilled freshwater eel in teriyaki sauce), savoury thin strips of yakiniku (sauteed beef and onions), crunchy edamame, earthy seaweed strips, and a yummy soft boiled egg! Highly recommended!

Served in Sun With Moon from 01 - 03 January 2016 as part of their New Year celebrations, the Ozoni / Zoni (SGD $12) here closely resembles the style in Tokyo, Kanto region. It features a soup made with dashi (seaweed stock), with a signature square mochi rice cake that has been lightly grilled. Other ingredients add depth of flavour and body to this soup, including chicken chunks, straw mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, carrots, spinach, kamaboko (fish cake), taro root, burdock root, and parsley. This light, savoury sweet soup is a great appetizer.

Styled as a casual Italian meets Southeast Asian fusion restaurant, Supply & Demand, which is operated by the Cre8 Group, first opened in the Esplanade in September 2013, with their second outlet in Orchard Gateway opening in May 2014. While it started life as a modern Italian Peruvian bistro and rooftop bar, Supply & Demand, whose name references a business economics term, has since evolved by offering more familiar flavours.
Supply & Demand Exterior

Supply & Demand Exterior

Ambience at Supply & Demand is one of the highlights. Industrial chic meets faux greenery, with an eclectic mix of furnishings that resemble both a European countryside home, as well as a streetside cafe. Along with warm decorative lights, wooden shelves lined with books and bottles of wine, faux trees, faux lawn carpets, soft leaf green cushions, and a open kitchen, Supply & Demand exudes a comfortable feel, the sort of place you can linger and pass the day. Love the place!
Supply & Demand Interior

Supply & Demand Interior

Service at Supply & Demand is decent enough, but forgettable. Staff are friendly, polite, and efficient, quick to seat diners and take orders. Empty / dirty tables are cleared quickly. Staff display very simple product knowledge, though this is alleviated somewhat as the menu has ample descriptions of each dish. But there is very little engagement overall, and seeing as this is primarily an Italian restaurant, I expected a lot more interaction.
Book Of Jezebel

Book Of Jezebel

Food at Supply & Demand is all about classic, rustic, Italian dishes in hearty portions. There is also an experimental selection of fusion dishes, inspired by Southeast Asian flavours that the founders experienced on their travels. The Peruvian aspect seems to have been mostly dropped. Generally, I find most dishes here to be decently executed, with above average taste. Prices are affordable for the quality of food, and good value for money, budget about SGD $27 per person for a meal here (without drinks). No surprise that Supply & Demand is often crowded at meal times!

Brewed from barley malts, the Beer Peroni Nastro Azzurro (SGD $9 / $15) is a straw golden coloured pale Roman lager, whose name means 'Blue Ribbon' in Italian. A really light European beer, refreshing and great for summer days!

The Polenta Piccolo (SGD $17) features 2 poached eggs over 2 blocks of fried polenta cake, topped with thinly sliced prosciutto crudo di parma / parma ham, drizzled with hollandaise sauce, and sprinkles of grana padano cheese, with a garden salad on the side. I loved how the perfectly poached, runny egg yolk mixed with the polenta cake, which has a nice crisp exterior, and a soft grainy interior. The polenta cake is stuffed with summer vegetables, such as carrot, zucchini, and spinach, and I love its savoury sweet taste.

Categories : Spanish | Hotel | High Tea

The resident hotel bar of The Fairmont Singapore hotel, in Raffles City, Antilolote bar is a stylish, modern, bespoke cocktail bar, located at the ground floor lobby of the hotel. Helmed by award-winning mixologists / bartenders Tom Hogan and Bannie Kang, Antilolote bar, which opened in January 2014, offers more than just creative cocktails, but surprisingly decent bar food and high tea, all in a sleek, sophisticated setting.

Ambience at Antilolote bar is modern, classy, sleek, and sophisticated. With a colour theme of black and gold, comfortable and plush seats, clean lines, Peranakan batik print motifs, and the open show kitchen, Antilolote bar offers a lot to look at, beyond the good-looking folks! The beautiful 26,000-piece crystal chandelier and fully-stocked liquor display is eye-catching, and lends a touch of luxury.
Anti:Dote Bar & Seating Area

Anti:Dote Bar & Seating Area

Service at Antilolote bar is efficient and professional, as befits its classy feeling. Staff are quick to greet and seat guests, and have basic working knowledge if asked about cocktails, drinks, or food. The menu cards are informative and detailed, though the low ambient lighting makes reading slightly difficult. Staff do take off-menu requests, if you know what you want, the bar will attempt to recreate it!

Food at Antilolote bar mostly consists of modern, contemporary light bar snacks / tapas, and desserts, both Western and Asian style. Portions are designed for sharing. And while Antilolote bar has various types of liquor, the stars here are their creative, hand crafted, award-winning cocktails, made with fresh ingredients, some of which are from their very own herb garden! Prices are comparable to other bars, budget about SGD $55 per person for 2 drinks and a snack.

For the Hwa Chae Cocktail (SGD $23), Bannie Kang has drawn inspiration from the traditional South Korean fruit punch. Her version is made with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, lemon, maple syrup, pineapple juice, watermelon, and beer! The result is a light, fruity, refreshing, and thirst quenching beverage; sweet and fruity in taste, yet complex with the malty, smooth fusion of rum and beer. With no bitterness and no lingering alcohol burn, this works both as an apertif / starter, or as a dessert beverage.

The Corpse Reviver #2 Cocktail (SGD $23) is fruity and refreshing cocktail, made with absinthe, gin, home made orange liqueur, lemon juice, and home made vermouth, topped with orange peel and a sprig of rosemary from their in-house herb garden. This aptly named concoction is a great starter cocktail, perking up the palate, and pairing surprisingly well with the dishes here!
